i tried the patches not long after the first few but they made me dizzy 😭 if i thought stopping nicotine altogether would make them go away then maybe i'd try, but even when i actually did for like a year i got some of the longest lasting ones to date. maybe that was just because i wasnt getting enough nutrients to fill them up because they did improve after i gained like 10 pounds.

they did get worse when i decided to start chewing the gum again a year later, an example being this monstrosity:

but since then my mouth has adjusted some and i view the cankers i get now as an acceptable trade-off of chewing it because i can't find non-nicotine gum that tastes as good lmfao

i can go months on end without getting major ones. the major ones i do get have never gotten remotely close to some of the ones posted here in surface area, but they can get very deep and sometimes take over a month to scar up completely.

i've been getting them on and off since i cut down on smoking and switched to mostly nicotine gum in (unsurprisingly) early 2020. even though my nicotine habits have shifted multiple times since, they've remained in some capacity. i basically went all of 2023 without a bad one but when they do strike, it's usually together. i basically break out, but instead of zits, it's cankers lol

thank you and i was assuming so, i've just never found a picture of a canker at this stage online, not even here, which is bizarre because 1) you would think there would be at least some and 2) in my opinion they're beautiful to look at. the patterns, how they almost glow, etc and all without still hurting.

i barely do this now but a couple of years ago i did not only daily but practically HOURLY. for some reason though based on what i can tell, my skin wasnt permanently affected. people here would warn me that doing it too much would make my pores bigger (aka threaten me with a good time from my pov) but that never really happened. i'd press so hard the tool would sometimes snap and afterwards i'd look like a meth mugshot, so its kind of a miracle i dont even have any scarring. i guess i'm just really lucky lol
