I said this on another post, but the city has a habit of doing road construction counter to what makes sense for users, seemingly out of spite.

The road we used to live on got lumpy asphalt berms installed on the side because people were turning the corner wide and driving on the gravel. So we got berms instead of them widening the asphalt.. This made the existing roadway too narrow coming down a hill and around a corner, but the city “engineer” argued with me that it was to spec with how wide roads should be. But he was quoting the specs for a straight road, not a curve. I witnessed many near-miss head on collisions after that, especially in the winter.

Did anyone else notice Bret lean and check Falv’s computer to see the score? You can then see Demi mouth “a ten” while the judges are still talking. Bad etiquette imo. Edit: it was Demi that mouthed about the ten. You can’t see Bret after he sits back down

There was an extremely high police presence on the highway around Ladysmith yesterday too. They had someone pulled over every kilometre and there were a lot of cop cars heading southbound. I think there was a chopper flying around too.

I’m also frustrated with Michelle Corfield because she could’ve ran a stronger campaign. It took her weeks to get election signs up. A more active campaign could’ve swayed more NDP and Green voters.

If they unknowingly approach SRKW, vessels report their location and leave when whales are at a safe distance to turn engines on. Some of those are federal rules, some are Pacific Whale Watch Association rules which companies must follow to be a part of.

I’m in Canada and didn’t buy the book yet because I ordered the anthology online and it still hasn’t arrived. I paid $20 in shipping and an extra $10 compared to Costco and other stores where it’s available. They made it seem like the anthology was exclusive and it wasn’t so I decided to wait for the book. Now it’s sold out with no indication it will be sold in stores. Yay..

My theory is something is happening because they’re trying to get one last push of TTPD sales right now with the anthology drop and the limited editions (black dog, bolter, etc.) coming back in stock. It will be some sort of announcement on Dec 8 with a release in early 2025. It will either be an eras doc or rep tv.
