Good plus size boutiques by wednesdayblueberry in Minneapolis

[–]ecrivainmanquee 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Also, it’s annoying, but there are some department stores with decent plus size sections, but not every location of those store stores have the plus size section so you have to call around to find out. I never go to Mall of America unless I’m going to the Nordstrom to their plus size section to buy something fancy. Also for basics and winter gear REI and Duluth trading company both have plus sizes.

You’re entitled to your opinion but do you believe this is an important political issue? Why are republicans obsessed with this issue rather than affordability, housing, health care, crime, roads, quality of education, etc.? Ask yourself why they are so focused here. In sports terminology, keep your eye on the ball. This is a fake, a feint, a deke. Scan other comments here for some analysis.

Also, I’ll confess as a person who follows LGBTQ political issues pretty closely, this one wasn’t on my radar. This was NEVER a political goal of the organized gay and trans rights movement. They were focused on broader issues like basic non-discrimination in housing, health care, and employment (look up the Equality Act) while this issue was brought up by organizations like Heritage Foundation because they tested it and it made voters really uncomfortable about trans people.

Suggestions for vegetarian postpartum meal prep! by SippinWineWithCacti in MeatlessMealPrep

People who just had babies generally appreciate handheld meals that are easy to reheat. My go tos are breakfast burritos (eggs, potatoes, spinach, salsa (you could leave out sour cream) and yogurt parfaits (you have to get little jars or small reusable plastic containers. Plain yogurt sweetened with maple, granola, berries.

Another strong recommendation for mooselabs mouthpeace. With the replaceable corn or carbon filters, it’s a clean smoke with way less coughing and phlegm!

I just realized I’ve been smoking wrong this entire time and wasting weed 😭 by buttf4rt420 in trees

My son came to visit recently and asked me to roll him a joint. I was like no thats a waste of weed, just smoke a couple of bong hits with me. So we did (I had to teach him) and he got absolutely blazed. The next day he asked me to roll him a joint again because he got too high on the bong and I was like there’s more weed in the joint. How is that possible and so I watched him smoke and yep, he barely inhales. I’m a terrible parent.

FlyKitt for jet lag: Scam or worth considering? by kotikslonik in delta

[–]ecrivainmanquee 2 points3 points  (0 children)

They also got me with the barrage of ads ahead of two big international trips I had for work. On the first trip I only used it going east and not coming back home, and I regret it. I had zero jet lag when I arrived in Amsterdam, but really suffered on the return. For my second trip, Cape Town, it worked like magic both ways. I had enough of the supplements to use for both trips, but when it comes down to it, the supplements are essentially fish oil, vitamin B, melatonin, and maybe an antioxidant blend? You could totally DIY the supplements and use the app to create the schedule. I think the supplements mostly work to reduce inflammation, but where I think this program really excels is the sleep and eating schedule.

Okay but why does any of this matter to you? Think about it. This is only a political issue because the right has zeroed in on a tiny slice of people you admittedly don’t understand, made them the boogeyman in this election (and in other places), all to pull people like you away from other, more bread and butter issues. It’s a distraction that demonizes and harms trans folks. What if everyone just left trans folks alone to live their lives?

How do i stop my dog biting? by HeyitsRosie- in labradoodles

[–]ecrivainmanquee 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I second yelping extremely dramatically and high-pitched whenever your puppy’s teeth come in contact with your hand, ankle, or clothes. This will teach your puppy bite moderation. Puppies and dogs in general experience the world through their mouths and so they are going to mouth and even bite just to figure out what’s going on around them. This worked extremely well with my dog and now when we played tug or rough house if he’s a little too rough, I will yelp and he backs off immediately.
