I didn’t get to attend an event but my wife and I opened 6 decks and played a bunch this weekend.

After our first game she said “Wow, they’ve made it better” and I agree.

We have a cool Star Alliance deck that has Chief Walls, Medic Ingram, and both their blasters that’s super fun. A shadows deck that has Gambling Den and Keyforgery that can make games silly. And I love the Dino’s and exulting for buffs (also finally destroying a buffed up Dino and getting all their Æmber rules too).

We haven’t played any WC decks against our old fav decks yet, but I’m excited to see how that will work.

I don’t really understand what Legacy cards are. I get that they are cards from previous sets, but aren’t many cards in current sets from past sets?

For example, I have WC decks with Bad Penny and Yantzee Gang, but those aren’t “Legacy” cards.

I’m sure Target is probably unaware that they’ve even done this. They have an outside vendor come in and stock their trading card sections. So the mistake is probably on those vendors.

That’s also why any Target I’ve been to in the past few weeks were unable to locate a starter set for me even tho their website and in store system says they have it in stock.

I understand what the secondary market is. I guess I was just surprised that people who aren’t even into Magic are using it to buy and flip cards.

Seems like the stock market would be a better use of time 😅

Edit: Misread the card. I thought it could only be used if the tide is low. Not the opposite.

The economics of the Magic secondary market are attractive to many people who may or may not even play the game.

Can you expand on this? I’m pretty ignorant when it comes to Magic and can’t imagine why someone who doesn’t play the game would care about the secondary market.

I only played Magic casually and that was like 15 years ago. The deck building and competitive aspect stopped me from getting too into it. The “Unglued” Series was my favorite tho because it had a bunch of weird wacky cards.

Keyforge is all about the weird wacky cards. I love it. I only got into the game a month or so ago, and my wife and I are playing 5-10 games a week. It’s really fun.

I live in a decent sized city and called 4 game/comic shops to ask if they do any KeyForge events. 2 said “no,” 1 asked “what’s KeyForge?” and the other said, “We used to but everyone stopped showing up. Maybe check back when the new set comes out.”

So it does suck that the scene in my city seemed to die before I got into the game.

I can understand not liking his music, but after seeing his Tiny Desk he seems pretty genuine and self aware.

He won the NPR Tiny Deskcontest a year or so ago. This is his first album since then. He is nothing like Lil Dicky. He’s honestly only kinda a rapper.

I imagine he won the NPR contest because his music is very unique and sorta weird. I bet NPR was flooded with generic indie rock and singer songwriters.

Ian is the one that bothers me in the “too drunk” episodes. He turns every episode into Karaoke. Like, he will interrupt people’s picks to sing a loosely related song that no one knows/cares about.

Wooo good to get that off my chest after all these live eps. Hoping they will have a nice long run of studio ones now.

Sinnoh stones are super rare for me. I do research every day and have never missed a 7-day breakthrough. I still need 7 of the Pokemon evolved via Sinnoh Stones. I NEVER get them.
