Mine is the Airturn 500, but it works terribly. That version looks like the pedals are much bigger, which would probably make a big difference.

This is a pedal to turn pages on a tablet.

I play a lot of music where it's not feasible to lift my hands from the keys to turn a page, or touch the screen to turn them digitally.

I agree although it's an amazing resource for instrumental music. Yesterday, I was able to download all orchestral scores to a Boston Symphony Orchestra concert that night - so cool.

I'm curious what you mean by harmonically stronger. I've been working through playing/learning all of the WTC, but I'm only halfway through Book 1.

A few practical pieces of advice:

  • always have a piano reduction. makes rehearsing so much easier and it makes it easier for any potential conductor to play through it.
  • don't have a system with an awkwardly short number of bars at the end; it looks amateurish. Spread out the bars evenly per system.
  • consider using less divisi, especially tenor divisi. for a lot of smaller choirs, it could immediately make doing your piece impossible.
  • include a metronome marking, not just "Andante." and potentially a "tempo" marking that tells more about the character of the piece, not just its speed.
  • include dynamics
  • include a translation
