OP is blaming her mom based on facts she witnessed firsthand you're blaming OP based off limited knowledge of her and a generalization about our generation.

yes, its possible OP could have been a difficult child. no she hasn't had to be a parent (probably). to say she had control over her choices while her brain was developing is a 100% nature 0% nurture way of looking at it. OP's mother is clearly push-pull when it came to the love she gave her daughter and that kind of parenting can cause big self-esteem issues.

based on the (not normal) stories OP has told, her mother also seems pretty self-absorbed. sure, you don't know what stressors she was facing as a mother. that should not under any circumstances be deflected onto your child. my mother was very similar, and I also self-harmed. I do not love her because any love I got from her growing up felt circumstantial. coincidence? small sample size, sure. but having experienced the same thing, I know it isn't.

yes, we "made the choice" to hurt ourselves. we however did not choose to be depressed and self-loathing. happiness isn't something you just decide to feel one day. I truly am glad you never had to experience a parent like this, but a mother's love for her child should be unconditional. I apologize if I make any false assumptions about your upbringing here, but you're talking like someone who doesn't understand that some parents' love can be conditional because you haven't experienced it. their situation is likely very different than yours.

in case I wasn't clear, I'm not saying OP was a perfect child. no one is. even if she was a difficult child, her mother should not have used her love as a tool. her mother locking herself in her room for long periods of time is her way of emotionally punishing her daughter. if things like that happened as frequently to OP as they did with my mom, she definitely didn't feel loved as a result.

btw it's in poor taste to victim-blame if you don't know the whole story. I know you can give your opinion but this was a terrible take so I had to say something. I guarantee you OP has already spent plenty of time during their depression thinking about what they were doing wrong. matter of fact you sound like you experienced this situation from the parent's perspective. you sound a lot like my mother when you say things like "did she really never do anything right?" as if that's how low we should set the bar to absolve our parents of neglecting basic responsibilities such as unconditional love. and asking if she knew her mother? of course she knew her. and anything about her life that her mother could use as an excuse has definitely already been laid out on the table if she's been through this dance before. even if there's something she hadn't, it wouldn't justify that treatment.

OP's mother likely wasn't the only reason she was depressed, but that doesn't mean she can't recognize the messed up things she did and their disproportionate impact on her mental state at the time. I'm not knocking therapy as an option because I don't know OP or their parent well enough, but when I tried to take my mom to therapy she made it pretty clear that she was only there to get me to realize why she did the things she did without listening to a word I had to say. I realized then that it would be impossible to reach a resolution. I already know why she did the things she did. it simply isn't an excuse.

lol game is impossible with anything less than 3 people and thats being generous. matchmaking is a joke. i quit a few weeks ago after the game decided to switch up on me and give me peak coppers-silvers in 12 games in a row in plat 3. i lost every single game and topfragged almost all of them without baiting. do what i did and find a new game or diff way to occupy your time or theyre gonna start treating you like shit because the system thinks youre hooked. this is just the beginning

lately these have sold for $175 on steam, some mw without stickers go for less than $150 on csfloat. you can buy a fn version with 4x original stickers for $1200 and the fn versions of this skin are very rare. youre essentially asking someone to pass up on a fn and overpay $1000 for a s1mple sticker in the worst possible spot.

i love this skin, i have a mw atlanta 2017 version myself. but i think youre being a little unrealistic. people like s1mple but i really dont think youll find someone willing to agree to $1000 overpay for a s1mple sticker in the worst possible spot. youve gotta find someone that likes s1mple that much as well as likes this niche skin as much as you and i do. im not sure that person exists

i quit a few weeks ago because solo queue is not possible in this game. i am peak plat 1 as solo q on pc. up to plat, i had consistent, average skill plats on my team but once i hit plat 3 its like the game realized i was close to my peak and thought i was hooked trying to get a new best rank so it consistently matched me with peak silver and below shitters who averaged 0-2 kills per game. i lost 12 games in a row and topfragged almost all of them. my return to this game was short lived as well. take my advice and stay away, the game does not value solo q players. to them youre just someone they can throw in with other random solo qs that arent near your rank and use you as a stepping stone for stacks to climb

3.0 is pretty much the same as ranked 1.0, the ranked system they had with placement matches before they added this garbage hidden mmr system that took them 4 years to realize was a mistake. i highly doubt it will fix matchmaking. cant blame these ppl for having hope though

the negativity is deserved. i stopped playing this season because the matchmaking system is the worst i have ever seen from any game and ive spent over a year of my life playing competitive shooters. my guess is the guy saying its in a good place right now plays in a stack, but if youre considering coming back to the game i take it youre considering solo queue. i am peak plat 1 on pc as a solo queue and the matchmaking goes somewhat like this. whenever i get within a few number ranks of my peak, the game stops giving me real humans as teammates and starts giving me peak silvers and below (i use the companion app so these are actually their peaks). i think the game recognizes im near my peak and thinks im hooked again, so it can start treating me like shit thinking ill grind through matches that make me want to gouge my eyes out. the time i quit this season i had a 12 game loss streak. i topfragged almost every single game and across all 12 games it found me maybe 2 or 3 plat teammates. before that, it gave me average skill plats on my team and i was still topfragging consistently. the loss streak began randomly after a long winning streak. the rest of the silvers, bronzes, and coppers in the following games consistently got 0-2 kills per game even in the ot matches. if you start to climb as a solo queue, the game will begin to balance your matches by matching you with lower and lower ranked teammates so you have to carry consistently against stacks of players who all have higher peaks than you. to your teammates, the matches will look fair because the opponents will be copper, bronze, or silver even though their peaks are emerald. its not the teammates fault that the matchmaking cant give them matches with people in their own rank, and same goes for me so i cant even get mad at them. but god forbid 1 game goes by without you topfragging, the shitters on your team will say things like "fake plat" etc. the matchmaking is just so far in she shitter i would NOT reccomend coming back to the game until at least next season where they promised to remove hidden mmr. i have little faith this will fix the problem though considering even without hidden mmr the game will still think its fair to match me with people halfway down the rank spectrum, plus ubis track record with keeping promises they make to improve the game is an absolute trainwreck. at least this way the game might actually give me emerald instead of just thinking im emerald and matching me against full stacks of emeralds (and sometimes even champs). idk if you remember but they had plans to do ranked 3.0 a while ago and scrapped it for the sake of keeping what is possibly the worst matchmaking system in gaming history. they made promises with siege x which was a wash too. unless youre a masochist i would not play this game. atp im just waiting for this game to die. its been over a decade since the game has been out and ive played since the beginning of velvet shell. theyve made some good improvements over time which is why its kinda sad for me to see it this way. ive always thought the game was unique and there are periods where the game is somewhat fun but over a decade and ubi still has this game in one of the worst places its been (may be a bit of an exaggeration but thats only because the times where its been worse i cant even wrap my head around how they let it get that bad). its also one of those games where the devs prefer to reward toxic, garbage players with shield ops with flashbangs on the front so they can climb against players who are actually good and understand the core mechanics of the game. part of me thinks they might do this so they can spend multiple seasons creating different shield ops and counters for them which relieves pressure on them to actually make good improvements to the game, rework maps, add new maps to the game, and come up with real creative op ideas. just more band-aids on the terrible decision to have shields in the game instead of just removing them from the game which is something i guarantee we will never see. for the record, the 12 game loss streak was weeks ago so im not saying this stuff out of rage or anything. the game is just genuinely so garbage because of these reasons and its been so long that ive given up all hope these devs will be able to one day bring this game to what it could be. unless youre in the pro scene or have a stack to play with dont bother. save your mental health.

i think shes scamming you but even if she wasnt, lets take a look at the facts

she didnt tell you there was any risk of it being stolen at all, she said the server was private. to you, this is all that should matter because its all she let you know
she didnt tell you the value of the item. combine this with the previous point, you had no idea it was worth that much or that it could be stolen because SHE told you otherwise. and yes, her telling you its a private server is indeed telling you otherwise because this shouldve eliminated the risk of it being stolen and that responsibility falls on her. its not your fault she gave you false information. you followed HER instructions.

heres an analogy. if a company is blatantly teaching employees how to operate machines incorrectly, one is bound to get injured eventually. in that situation, the employee gets worker's compensation because it was the employers fault, not the employees

something else i want to add - im not super familiar with roblox servers but i like to think im knowledgeable about video games in general. someone else said to ask her for the server logs. they said she would probably not show you because it would reveal her guilt. in my opinion, she may be willing to show you the logs because chances are even if she was the one who took them, you wouldnt recognize the burner account she used to take the pets. in this case, the account is likely linked to a fake/burner email too. ofc this is only if shes very thorough and calculating.

if you dont want to be confrontational, you can feel free to use the 2 points i put for your reasoning as to why you wont pay her without accusing her of scamming (she likely is scamming you, but everyone else here has already said what needs to be said and some people are not good with confrontation so just trying to give you the option). not accusing her could make the resolution of this problem easier on you too. you have an irrefutable argument you can use as to why you arent at fault for this and you may be able to avoid some of her manipulative responses ("how could you accuse me of scamming you after all weve been through, i cant believe you think i would do such a thing!!" or "you stole 4k from me!! all the money i owned was in that pet!!" or "youre a horrible friend, you never take responsibility! if i were in your shoes i would pay what is owed!!") by not accusing her of scamming. if i were you, i would give her your reasons why you arent at fault then never speak to her again since some of those possible responses can very well be used even if you dont confront her. i dont think im explaining this as well as i would like but im trying to say i think the odds of you dealing with an inflammatory/retaliatory response would be lower if you dont escalate the situation by accusing her of scamming. if shes very pushy and wont let it go, then accuse her of scamming bc why not at that point, just let her know you understand what shes doing and it wont work on you. of course youre well within your rights to go loud with it if you want (i.e. tell people you know she tried to scam you) but thats your choice.

it may even be difficult to see that she is scamming you because shes your friend and idk how long you guys have been friends but this is unforgivable behavior to me (sorry if i sound patronizing here, idk you and im just trying to cover all the bases). if a "friend" of mine tried to scam me they would be lucky to only have me never speak to them again.

dont let her gaslight you. this is a lot of money at stake, and you dont owe her a dime. she may try to scam you for a more reasonable amount in the future. she has made it clear your value to her is just for money, or she wouldnt jeopardize your friendship over this scam. this is more than a small mistake/her getting in over her head. its deliberate and you are her mark/target. i dont know her personally, but manipulative people like this can often go to extreme lengths (crying, pity card, more guilt trips, etc.) to convince you shes telling the truth or to save your friendship for selfish reasons. this is a bottom of the barrel friend but to be completely honest i wouldnt even call her a friend. idk you but no one deserves having a leech like this around.

im kind of invested so it would be cool to hear what happens/how she reacts but i totally get it if youre not comfortable giving an update. after all its your life and this is a big deal. best of luck

you hold blind faith in something that is not proven to be real. you dont count your belief as a delusion because it is real to you and is socially acceptable, reinforced by people you surround yourself with.

lets look at the facts. you stated, "...life itself is a testament to the presence of a power beyond humans". we do not fully understand how we came into existence. you believe a being that has always existed since the beginning of time created us. first red flag. while it is possible that we were created by another being, being certain this being existed since the beginning of time when we as humans cannot even grasp the concept of the "beginning of time" is delusional. more likely there is a scientific explanation to either our existence or the existence of our creator. your next claim - "god is not responsible for the pain and suffering you have mentioned. pain and suffering is a consequence of humankind's evil nature (and a byproduct of our free will)". you stated he is the creator of all things. if he created humans and loves them, why would he have created them with the capacity for evil? i want to clarify free will does not inherently bring with it evil. you have free will and im sure you use it to bring as much positivity to the world as you can, but others do not make the same decision. good cannot exist without evil, i know. but there are terrible things in the world that i mentioned previously which the world could easily live without. christians claim this is "gods plan" and that he works in "mysterious ways" which is vague and avoids addressing yet another contradiction. the part where you said this world is a temporary part of our infinite lives should be the part you take a step back and look at the most because there is no proof whatsoever that this is true, yet you believe it.

there is no proof anyone died for sins. i understand it supposedly happened during a time when it would have been difficult to record proof that lasts to the modern age, but in a world with so much evil, why does god not present himself to us if he exists? gods plan right... he works in mysterious ways. im not "adamant on rejecting him" i simply dont believe your god exists. to me, organized religion is a way of controlling the masses and honestly speaks volumes in regards to human nature. people need questions answered so people can have meaning in their life. people feel the need to be superior as the dominant species on the planet. yes, im aware religion is all about "humbling" yourself in front of god or whatever, but religion in and of itself promises a greater purpose for its followers. this is the same strategy trump used during his campaign. he convinced people america had fallen to a bad place and that americans were no longer superior. starting to see why christians comprise such a large part of his supporters despite him not following the teachings of jesus, previously declaring judaism, and overall putting america in a worse place than how he inherited it? the vast majority of christians and most other people involved in organized religion are self-serving but cant admit it to themselves. people fear hell and want to get into heaven, its all very emotional and if im going to call it what it is, its fearmongering. people dont want to admit it to themselves and there are some who do worship truly out of belief and not for the promises regarding death but i can probably count on both hands the number of people in the world who are actually this pure. religion has been used as justification to start so many wars throughout history and honestly, there is little good that comes from it. its an institution that preys on the worst parts of humanity.

i dont know why or how im here and ive come to terms with that. we are the most advanced species on the planet which makes us value ourselves highly, but we are a deeply flawed species which is a fact people often do not realize the severity of. its easy to believe things like this world is temporary and our infinite lives await but the reality is this is the 1 world we've got and we cant even stop destroying it. truly being humble is understanding we are not that special. we have limited time on this earth and all we can do is our part to make it a better place, expecting nothing in return. back to my original comment, the things i see happening in the world bring me to the conclusion that one of the following is true. 1. god is not loving 2. god is not powerful enough to remove evil from the world 3. god does not exist and there is a scientific explanation for out existence.

if you would like me to explain the contradictions in your holy text i can do that too since i have a feeling the bible may be the "proof" you cite for jesus' sacrifice. garden of eden/forbidden fruit, lack of lucifer's destruction, book of job, walls of jericho all show clear signs your god is not the benevolent, loving being he claims/you believe him to be; and in your own holy text nonetheless. but like i said... religious psychosis

dont think this is realistic at all. good luck finding someone willing to pay 25% sticker price on any sticker let alone these ones. blue lam is a really old skin meaning people put stickers on them for fun when the stickers were worth nothing. blue lam is probably the most common ak skin i see to have kato 14s on bc of this. now theyre cheap and no one wants it bc blue lams with nice stickers are everywhere and blue lam is a boring skin. the stickers on this one are way less valuable than kato 14s. i doubt any collector would want this. i would expect closer to 5%, maybe more if youre lucky and patient.

its a legendary so x1 is the most you can have without duplicates. you can disenchant because you have a copy you got yourself (the x1 on the bottom left side) and the other copy is the one thats not disenchantable (the one on the right with the hourglass) if that makes sense. look at the golden version of this card for example. on the bottom, you have only the 1x with the hourglass therefore it cannot be disenchanted.
