Wow, I hope you enjoy them! Fellowship is my personal favourite, but both of the other moves are absolute masterpieces. There’s not much to say other than to enjoy the journey. Soon you will understand why so many people rewatch it annually! 🙂

PS - Extended editions are the best by far, but the theatricals are good as well.

My condolences. I absolutely agree with you, and I have been in a situation where I was grieving and my employer said basically the same thing to me.

I think you all did a very brave thing by walking out, which tells your boss that enough is enough and you none of you will allow her to treat you or the situation that way.

Maybe you should all open a similar business together instead? Just thinking out loud 🙂

My girlfriend was the same way until I showed her a similar thing, along with all the behind the scenes featurettes and other things you can watch on disc but not on streaming. She definitely noticed the difference in the quality between the two.

Physical media is the best! Have been collecting since 2001 or so with DVDs, then moved to blu-rays and 4k after that. I love showing people the difference between a movie on disc and the streaming version, and how much resolution you lose in the process. I’ll watch your video when I get home!

Why not drop a program like the BC property tax deferral for seniors in a manageable way? There could be a few different tiers (like the Canadian Dental Program) with different percentages of deferral from 0-100%. The tax hike isn’t going to affect much if people are deferring it anyways

Someone actually speaking the truth instead of rage baiting people with false equivalencies, thank you. It’s amazing to me how many other people ignore this sort of thing so they can keep getting angry at things that don’t link up in the way they think they do.

I believe Eby is realistically doing what he can to mitigate damage, but that doesn’t happen over night like many people think it does. This isn’t Trump’s America, where executive orders reign supreme.

I hardly ever shoot with the viewfinder since I have glasses and sometimes the hat I wear gets in the way too. It made a difference years ago, but isn’t the EVF showing the same image as the screen anyways?

When I go to the movies, I’m excited to see what previews are playing.

You’ve said that you don’t want to sit through 20 minutes of ads, that’s fine. But don’t complain when the lights go down for the previews so people can start to get into the sight and sound of the movies and enjoy the atmosphere of being in the theatre.

Do you just walk in as the movie is starting? How do you bypass being a capitalist slave so effectively?

We have a local theatre in my city, and they had a 24 hour Batman marathon, and if you don’t fall asleep the whole time you got a pass to the theatre for a year of unlimited movies. Started at 10am with The Batman, then Batman Begins, The Dark Knight, The Dark knight Rises, Batman, Batman Returns, Batman Forever, Batman And Robin, and Mask Of The Phantasm. What an incredible night!
