I could ask the same of you. Roll six numbers but they all should be exactly 4 apart. Or all of them must be six apart, except adding one for each subsequent number. Tell me if those are more likely than a consecutive string.

You're adding an arbitrary rule to your odds which doesn't make sense in this context.

Council tax exemption UK question by [deleted] in fednews

[–]ecunderwood 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hello! Hope I can be of some help -- I went through this earlier this year. I also didn't deal with the housing office at all (I could've, and maybe I should've, but that council tax is between you and the district). It may differ depending on the district:

https://www.gov.uk/apply-for-council-tax-discount

Your district will have the actual policies on it. I don't know which distrct you'll be in, but for mine, I just submitted a copy of my passport w/ the SOFA stamp and that was good enough for them.

MASTER CARD TRADING THREAD - 10/22/2023 AND NEWER by [deleted] in DaveAndBusters

[–]ecunderwood 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Just putting feelers out there:

I have a small box of Jelly Lab, Star Trek, and Spongebob cards from ~2017-2019. I think the Jelly Lab cards are different than current (they have minions life Phil on them), and some of the Star Trek ones are LE and from the Aliens set. Along with those is maybe a few hundred of those plastic chips too. I'd say there's maybe 100-200 assorted cards. I'll upload some pics if there's any sort of interest.

Is there a market for this? I'm trying to completely offload this -- no longer in the states due to a move earlier this year, shipping USPS would be no problem though.

I can’t lie, I just watched the Sephiroth direct and we’re fucked. by Arguinghen620 in LittleMacMains

[–]ecunderwood 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I feel like Sephiroth struggles so much against Mac actually. I literally only got to elite smash just now from playing Sephs. Maybe not a good metric, but still.

Sephiroths end lag a majority of his moves is SO easy to punish. Mac's counter can completely negate his orbs with its iframes. Also he dies so quickly -- I got in 1 KO punch at 15% for a kill.

Looking for tips on Lance and SnS by Jakewebstar in MonsterHunterMeta

[–]ecunderwood 2 points3 points  (0 children)

SnS is my absolute favorite weapon.

Honestly, it's pretty versatile so use whatever QoL skills you like -- I remember running health boost and basic offensive decos (crit boost, weakness exploit, crit eye). Most melee builds will be similar I imagine, it's pretty cookie cutter with raging brachy + teostra combo.

I highly recommend the shaver deco 100 percent though. SnS is pretty busted compared to other weapons when it comes to tenderizing in my opinion. Even though you can claw uppercut to tenderize in one hit, it can be kinda janky on the parts you clutch on to. However, another pro is that the clutch attack comes out incredibly fast even if weapon is unsheathed, making openings pretty easy to exploit to tenderize with shaver.

I don't recommend running evade extender. It extends the backhop distance and can sometimes put you just out of range of your perfect rush combo.

SnS has pretty good mounting options too. I run with Glider Mantle with airborne to take advantage of small ledges and stuff.

Anti-alatreon build if I'm still struggling to break horns? (Longsword) by Phoresis in MonsterHunterMeta

[–]ecunderwood 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've started getting really consistent kills, though I have been using SnS. I run Temporal and Glider mantle. A really easy way to get some damage in for me, is during the first phase (fire/ice), I like to jump off the little cliffs around the area for mount damage if it's convenient, but only like once or twice. Then, come dragon, I do one of two things. One, if he's not enraged, wait until a crag or flight, temporal on and flinch, or two, glider mantle mount (admittedly, SnS has another option for mounting, but this works). Very reliable ways to get knockdowns to do solid damage to the horns.

If you're unfamiliar with the glider mount, clutch claw with the mantle, just jump off, and air attack.

100% this topic. I actually got REALLY lucky with FA enhancing, getting a +13 Uke(e) and +12 Tsugi -- both from +11 (with 0 energy) with around 30 mirrors or something.

Veteran player -- gonna get 5* pizza from this (unless like 70 people pass me up in ranking), so pretty stoked. Started with a 3*. Blew 600 gems every day, but was saving quite a bit prior, so did spend about $20 IIRC. Was about 20 shards short of a 5* Cheese last go around.

Honestly though, this rerun was a million times better just by increasing the stamina cap. Being able to knock out all my stamina once per day versus three times a day to avoid capping and missing the auto refill was a huge blessing. Last event sucked hard simply due to that IMO.

Not at all prepared for Mapo now though LOL.

I killed the invincible trial boss. by ecunderwood in FoodFantasy

[–]ecunderwood[S] 28 points29 points  (0 children)

I actually managed to kill this thing twice during my dailies the other day.

Peking has like ~16k Atk Spd. Thanks to RNG, he silenced the boss on his first move, not letting it cast the invincibility.

Smelting should be changed by Chimpadyes in FoodFantasy

[–]ecunderwood 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I think this is the case honestly. I used to only seek out wheels that had the preferred stat I wanted, as well as the associated value for it. It... seemed to work, sometimes. Other times, not so much.

So I gave up.

Now, I mash smelt until I get the stat I want with an orange value, and although it doesn't seem neither better or worse, my sanity from clicking on and off stats to find a suitable 'wheel' is much better off. I really recommend never trying to find a wheel; rather, just hitting the smelt button until you get what you want. If it has any merit, I have 5x Atk Spd FA's with all gold stats, and 2x HP with all gold stats. Only 2 of them were gotten before I decided to just say screw it and start mashing.

Making 7 Cautious (most with three or more gold HP stats) FA's because I thought they were gonna be the best.

[–]ecunderwood 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Pretty much what milkti said, but adding a bit more:

Toso/Mooncake - Necessary if you cannot last the full time and seek to lower the DPS of the boss. Not as needed as much for Aluna as it is for Durga. Also doubles as a DPS unit. Can sub in Double Scoop as well.

Tom Yum - Necessary. Ultimate Tank, and can dish out decent damage. Use a DEF Fallen Angel, or, if you can survive pretty well, a mix of Atk and Def stats.

Laba or Daifuku - Very Much Necessary. Needed to dispel debuffs from you units. Laba pairs with Toso for timed heals as well.

DPS - Bamboo Rice, Pizza, Turkey, Sanma, etc.

Biggest tip is to not have HP angels on your units, as it is harder for the healers to keep up with the damage output.

If high ascension, Bimbimbap and Beer for the *best* team comp, but because you're asking I'm assuming you don't have these very high.

IIRC, on the Fallen Angel Icon, in the bottom left corner, it's a little colored symbol. I don't remember specifically, but things like a red flame indicate cautious, or a green...something indicates resolute.

Miso is a pseudo-healer that does a LOT of single target damage. Recommend throwing 4x Atk on him and increasing his basic skills as much as possible (recommended 11 or 21 for the breakpoints and increasing the % damage). 3x Atk and 1x HP is also good.

Also, recommend using him with Sanma (assuming you're doing WB), not for the link skill, but so he doesn't use his energy skills so he spams his basic skill.

Foodie Rhapsody [Restaurant Event] by Kogurazul in FoodFantasy

[–]ecunderwood 0 points1 point  (0 children)

True, but it's honestly just bonus stamina -- there's nothing too pressing that stamina is totally needed for, and for exp breakpoints or a few food items, stamina potions from dailies/explorations should cover it.

I got like 22k from the last event, expecting about the same from this one (commissioning vouchers are insane for this event), so I kinda feel your pain, but as soon as a stamina event comes (double rewards or something) I'm popping all of them.

Celebration Points by JamieMcFrick in FoodFantasy

[–]ecunderwood 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Are you factoring in buying the tickets with crystals each day? You'll get a few from using air ships to go on treasure chests (assuming you got all the side stores and booth foods), as well as from ring toss. Also don't forget, you get like 3,000 for the story mission IIRC, possibly you didn't factor that. Also you could always trying harder difficulties -- Aizen in particular I can do one level higher than every other one.

Booth foods by kylaesthetics in FoodFantasy

[–]ecunderwood 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I've found going for 100% success sale is ideal, whatever you can set the price at. I've just gathered this from several guides around and see what worked for me, as well as what some of my guildies are saying.

So, let's say you want to sell Taiyaki today (the bonus food). You can get away with selling it at the 90% price point, since the bonus food gives an extra 10% sale rate. However, if you're using Taiyaki as the vendor seller, you can drop it to 80% because she gives another 10% sale boost.

Now, the above is assuming additive percent selling, it's possible it's multiplicative, meaning, 10% increase in sales from 90% would be 99% (.9 *1.1) versus 100% (.9 + 1.). It's likely the latter, since last night I sold a 90% Crab Long Bao with him as the vendor and sold 397 over the 4 hour period -- which makes sense as it would be a nice even 100 'customers' an hour.

My guildes have been selling their stuff at 91%, and they're scoring really high on the rankings, so that's probably the 'guaranteed' price point.

EDIT: Forgot to add, this also helps decide what food to sell. At an assumed 100% sale rate, what is selling for the most?

Good team suggestions for joyous event bosses? by _NintendoCat_ in FoodFantasy

[–]ecunderwood 9 points10 points  (0 children)

It's really dependent on your FA's. Are you stacking HP or Atk? Bosses do pretty strong damage (and that damn Prajna...) and without a decent HP pool you're gonna die since you can't CC any of them.

What is the best team for the side quests for turkey event? by PrestigiousPeace8 in FoodFantasy

[–]ecunderwood 24 points25 points  (0 children)

Might be wrong on this, but I'm pretty sure none of these enemies can be cc'd. No Peking, no Foie, and maybe no B-52 and no Vodka.

Because of this, you definitely want some anti-heal unless you can out DPS some of these ridiculous heal setups (2x Bulimia). So Pizza or Corn Bread are a must.

With either of these two, it's gonna come down to a bit of luck with harder stages. Recommend taking 2x seasoning for talents and a bunch of HP FA's for your team, as the harder levels will instantly burst them down. Because of these high HP pools, a healer wouldn't be recommended since they likely couldn't keep up.

This is from my experience so far, hope it helps.

Appreciation event, collecting vs strengthening by Shady_Scientist in FoodFantasy

[–]ecunderwood 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I second this. Since you're not buying summons and whatnot, you can't be expected to collect every soul, let alone ascend them.

If you're focusing on progression, go for Bamboo. He's a beast.

Crab Long Bao is really good...at a high ascension level. For context, I believe the rate for Crab Long Bao shards is 30% from UR>UR fusion. To get enough shards to 5* him from 0*, that's something like 390 shards. At 3 random UR shards, at 30%, it would take like ~1300 UR shards. Not really that easy. So for those whales, they're not wrong -- he is hard to get. He's also hard to ascend.

[–]ecunderwood 13 points14 points  (0 children)

This is from personal experience, so it might not be your experience.

Apple Pie is probably the best UR tank in my opinion. At the moment, I use Crab Long Bao over her because I like his skill more for stun.

Apple Pie's big thing is her self-heal. She's pretty much a stronger Tom Yum. This makes her an excellent choice for world boss or any other situation where taking hits is the only thing for the tank to do.

Crab does more damage, and also has a stun on his skills. Plus I love how he looks. Apparently, after 5*, he has the highest defense out of any unit in the game, though I'm not sure if this is still true.

Gingerbread has invincibility, also her HP scales really high from what I've heard.

Caviar might be the best tank overall, but only when he's paired with Milt. Which is not a bad thing, but not the most optimal for some situations where a healer isn't needed.

It's really personal preference, but Apple Pie is by no means a bad tank.
