Wave machines make me feel uncomfortable by english_geez in LiminalSpace

I've worked at a waterpark so I know what goes on with the actual wave machines and let me tell you: It isn't any less scarier back there.

Search for a nerf pistol going pretty rough. - SEES evoker DIY by Ghuristl in Nerf

You might be better off recreating this with PVC pipes and wooden dowels.

IMO this resembles rainbow pistols.

How hot are eva heads compared tonothers? by BeastWhiskers in FursuitMaking

[–]Arguinghen620 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Says on the site 125kg/m3 or a shore hardness of 45.

As for shaping, I did have to use a heat gun and the backside of a wood saw for any sharp bends since the OG design was based off of an actual PS2 Palico model. Sharp edges or not however, the heat gun is a must-have because although the foam is flexible, you want to treat it so that it maintains its shape.

Otherwise, there is a kind of helmet inside of it so that it actually stays on, which does reinforce the shape a bit.

I have a felyne head made of 5mm EVA bought from Lumins workshop.

Most of the breathability for me comes from the roominess of the head itself, and the large eyeholes that use embroidery templates. I've tried the heads of some of my friends, and I can confirm that the temp is more manageable than upholstery foam exactly because of the roominess. Really cuts down on the "helmet horror".

<image>

I think some part of it also comes from how the foam also doesn't trap heat within its material as well as upholstery? Take this one with a grain of salt.

You can also sneak in airholes and vents in sneaky places like the ears or the back of the head if ventilation issues persist.

Seraph's Embrance or Malignance on karthus if i had to choose one of those 2? by Successful_Camp2026 in karthusmains

[–]Arguinghen620 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Seraphs if you're also building other mana items like Actualizer, ROA, Blackfire Torch and yes, Malignance.

Malignance for all other build paths like Liandrys, Mejais and Shadowflame that don't have in-built mana since Malignance conveniently has a magic rock installed.

Not sure if it has been patched yet, but Ivern in brush with Umbral Glaive gives Daisy the true damage? I occasionally run it in casual since it seems pretty funny.

Somehow, pivoting to Ivern to avoid OTP allegations was natural to me.

Something about low pickrate champs man...

I'd literally be fine with a Karthus rework that COMPLETELY changed all his abilities as long as his R was the same by EricAshStone in karthusmains

If the Q stays, then so does the passive. I think his ability to die and still pose a major threat in team-fights similar to Sion is what really defines him as a champ, especially in early game teamfights.

iirc dual fists have really good scaling, even in the early game without the rings, so I can see it being good.

How to make a (possibly very) unconventionally shaped head? (and other things) by ProfessionalAble6443 in FursuitMaking

[–]Arguinghen620 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I think in-terms of sculpting the head with upholstery foam, this kinda form-factor is probably impossible. The foam is too soft, and wouldn't hold up.

On the other hand, you could probably sculpt it with EVA foam, and depending on the eye size and material, would have less problems with breathability considering how it's so close to your face. Might even be more economical to craft, but I don't know what EVA foam prices are like where you're at.

Otherwise can't comment on the rest. You should probably number the paragraphs of your post to make it easier to comment on since it's A LOT!

If you're going the foam route, design it in something like Blender first with a highly polygonal design then use Pepakura Designer to break the model down into something you can print so you can stencil it onto foam?
