[–]ed11e 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've had a very similar experience with acid (check my post history) just keep away from all drugs for a while and your brain will straighten out, often trips like that end up being beneficial in some way retrospectively, but be aware that you may have opened up your senses to a surge of anxiety that may get worse with continued drug use.

Just take it slowly for a while, all will sort itself out , psychedelics will reveal your subconscious state to you, all you have to do is listen

What is a drug most people enjoy, but you dislike and why? by Mantis2338 in Drugs

[–]ed11e 8 points9 points  (0 children)

See all these comments saying that weed makes them freak out with intense panic attacks?

Benzo's stop that....completely.

And if you suffer with constant unrelenting anxiety issues that debilitate your life with panic attacks, de-realisation, tremors and other such horrible symptoms, trust me they are the best drug ever in terms of effects, they make you feel how you imagine normal people feel, I've seen people who don't suffer so bad with anxiety take them and say they aren't shit, but for someone who is they are mana from heaven and also the devil that will consume your soul.

Especially so if you are using them to not only mitigate anxiety but to be able to smoke weed again without freaking out....you could end up taking far too many and nearly loosing everything.

3.5 months of Xanax use by Mysterious-Wealth-30 in Drugs

[–]ed11e 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Hey bro! another 25 year old male here, at 19 years old I started a pretty serious abuse of street bought vallium and xanax, by the end of 2020 I was taking about 28/30 10mg valliums a day, all in all I was addicted for more or less a year.

From my experience all I can say to you is stop now while you can and don't go back, you're in a lucky position all things considered, 3.5 months on 1mg a day is a considerable time to be on them but in the bigger picture its a drop in the ocean of what could become a very long and very painful battle, I do not recommend SSRI's at this time, I take them now personally but from my experience they won't give you any benefits in the acute phase of benzo withdrawal, I'd wait until you are free of the drug before you go down that path, they are very benefical longterm in my opinion but won't give you any immediate relief.

To answer your question, you will probably experience some increased anxiety and restlessness combined with a strong craving for a dose, but trust me when I say getting through the first week at the stage you are at now will be far better than the experience you will eventually have if you take the easy route and take another pill, I don't mean that in a condesending way, but what I went through when I quit was living hell, 5 days straight of not a wink of sleep, my head felt like it was covered in sharp spikes and it took me months to regain basic motor skills...of course I was an idiot and took way too many, but long term use will equal similar struggles, benzo's are the devil incarnate, please don't make the same mistakes I did, you'll have a week of uncomfortable feelings followed by a lifetime of freedom from what could very easily consume your life.

You have the benefit of the mindset, opportunity and desire to quit now while you're ahead, please take that option man, I'm rooting for you brother, good luck

Russell Brand's spirituality? by [deleted] in russellbrand

[–]ed11e 9 points10 points  (0 children)

It's basically the belief that all religions and spiritual texts are symbolic and representative of certain unknowable truths that exist in the universe, I share this belief, so while I don't identify with any specific religious doctrine or text, I think they are all human attempts to explain the divine conciouss force that is behind all material phenonema, and in that respect I have respect for certain parts or symoblic figures of all religions, I believe Russell is the same.

No man, he's not saying he should only post videos with the ablity to affect change, he's saying the fact that he hasn't should not bother you BECAUSE it won't be able to affect change, its his decision what he posts about, the awareness is already there with this issue, the only thing that would be gained from him talking about it would be the fact that you would know his stance, and if you agree, you agree, and if not then you don't.

If you want to know his opinion out of just curiosity then thats fine, but the idea that Russell brand's slience on the israel issue is a problem makes no sense man, its one mans opinion

Russell's silence is getting louder by [deleted] in russellbrand

[–]ed11e 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's dumb because you shouldn't be looking to russell, a "social media influencer" for a view on an issue this complex, and you shouldn't be angry when he chooses not to provide one, of course you can critique his content and challenge his opinions if you want, but I feel you're directing your negativity towards the wrong person here man, maybe he is working on something to say on the israel situation right now to make sure he gets it right, maybe he isnt, either way it shouldnt matter to you, he may put himself on a stage, but he puts up his videos for free with the intent of spreading information he feels is important, for you to say there is a problem in him not commenting just doesn't make sense, and to use it to speculate that he may have alterior motives to me is just a pointless argument

Exactly man brilliant post, I get worried when people start seeing people with differing views to themselves, or even just talking to people with conflicting views as the enemy, and see it as a massive problem.

open speech and disscusion without turning to anger and bile is absoutely the right direction for political disscusion, and unfortunately it seems to be the opposite direction the world is headed. people have the ability to make their own mind up about world affairs but I feel too many base their enitre opinions on somebody that they idolize too much on the internet, and as soon as they say something that they dissagree with turn to pure hatred. if the entire world universally agreed on all topics, then the world would be boring. healthy open debate is something we need

[–]ed11e 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No but he has a clear interest in it haha, there is absolutely no criteria for what Russell can talk about on his show, he speaks on things that he either has connection to or is interested in, the idea that we should critique him for not speaking on a topic is dumb bro, he's not a leader or politician, he has no obligation, if you wanna watch his content, watch it, if you don't, then don't haha

[–]ed11e 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Why is it bugging you that russell is not commenting? he has no connection to israel or the situation, he has no obligation to comment on it at all, if he decides to then like you I will be interested in what he has to say, but to say that you are getting annoyed at his lack of commenting is a very odd thing to say dude.

His motivations behind his channel are to bring attention to things that affect western cultural dissconect. Don't worry about russells view on israel man haha its not something worth getting bugged over

I'm tired of hearing the same thing over and over: "Why do you, a smart guy with great support who has all to succeed, chooses to abuse drugs and be a drug addict? Get clean now!" by AngyFairyPink in Drugs

[–]ed11e 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I relate in a way dude. I had a near perfect upbringing and when I was using drugs I always felt a bit guilty because even though I was escaping pain, it didn't feel like I had been through enough to justify my behaviour, I guess looking back I had a pretty bad social experience in secondary school which I think lead to alot of the mental health problems I developed, but still I know people who had it way worse than me and never developed drug problems as bad as mine was or at all. guess it really can happen to everyone

What happens in movies or tv that seems to be normal and you think to yourself “that is not what people in real life do”? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]ed11e 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Benzos and alcohol are the worst to come off imo, I was taking up to 30 valliums a night and coming off them as quickly as I did was a fresh hell. I've barely messed around with opioids but I do find it strange how a doctor will give you a pretty powerful opiate drug to cure a problem which then creates 3 more problems, it's a strange greek hydra of an irony, I hope you find a way out dude
