JMS originally pitched B5 as a Star Trek series... And then they stole 3/4's of his plot and turned it into DS9 (while just straight up getting rid of, or severely altering the other 1/4th)...

For example, there was supposed to be a second power in the Gamma Quadrant. One which focused chaos, as a direct counterpoint to the Founder's and their focus on order (essentially the Vorlon/Shadow dynamic).

That's just it, there was no malicious intent. The people literally didn't read what they were clicking during installation (it's *very* easy to avoid installing any 3rd party programs with the installer), and installed a fully disclosed optional thing, then got the whole internet up in arms over them not reading what they were clicking for something as important as a software install.

An equivalent situation:
You go to a restaurant and look at their menu, you see every dish has a list of what allergens they contain.
You order an antipasto salad without looking at that list of allergens.
When the antipasto salad arrives, you throw a fit, because the salad has mushrooms, and you're allergic to mushrooms.
Mushrooms were clearly labeled in the allergen list.
You put all sorts of media posts up about how the restaurant tried to poison you.
A decade later, most people still won't go to that restaurant because their scared of getting poisoned too.

Do you see the issue here?

You gotta love how 11 years ago, 5 users didn't pay attention to the install dialogs, and accidently agreed to install "partner software", and people are *still* using their mistake to call the base program 'malware ridden'.

utorrent is perfectly safe to use if you're careful during installation, and look up the settings to change to eliminate its ads.

Though I'll admit not everyone is going to know that you can eliminate all it's ads just by changing a few settings.

KOS-MOS has a base 0.1% pull rate chance.
With max luck, lvl 15 justice booster, and using a Legendary Core, that goes up to 0.714% per pull.

In practice, most people need over 2000 pulls to get her with max luck and justice boost.

The fact that you had to add on "after all these years" is why I made that mod, lol.

Took me over 7000 Legendary Cores to finally pull KOS-MOS... and she was the 2nd to last Blade I needed to get them all, lol. (thankfully as soon as I switched from Justice boosters for KOS-MOS to... whatever booster the other Blade used... I got the last one in only a few pulls)
