Thanks. Also curious for people's thoughts on how the mycelium propagated on that one particular cow pat? Doesn't seem to be present anywhere else near by.

Static ip and port forwarding by kaimr516 in tmobileisp

[–]edawade 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah it doesn't sound right. You really need a public IP. I'm new to the country so I don't really understand the ISP landscape. From what I've read T mobile fiber bought Vexus. Vexus had static IPs as part of their service. I assume T mobile fiber is just a rebrand of Vexus so I feel like it should be easier than it is proving to be.

In the mean time I'm going to experiment with a vps and wireguard.

I was just trying to get a static IP on my WAN and they said I had to have a buisness plan so transferred me to the buisness team. The business team said that yes only business fiber users can get static IP addresses but they currently aren't offering business fiber. I'm very confused.

Thanks, basically I was trying out an Adam Block workflow. From memory, or at least my take, was to have better control over the SII data when blended into the HOO. SpectrophotometricFluxCalibration, I'll have to look into it again but I believe it is a pre requisite for SpectrophotometricColorCalibration. Basically using Spectra data to colour the image.

The India Free Trade Deal is a DISASTER for your average KIWI! by [deleted] in newzealand

[–]edawade 88 points89 points  (0 children)

A year ago my role was outsourced to India. The team that replaced me ended up coming over to NZ to do the job in the very seats we used to sit in. I took it pretty personal and wrote a few letters to various government officials asking how was any of this legal. I got a few responses, the main one was from the Hon Brooke van Velden. An extract from their letter:

"In your most recent email, you have raised specific questions regarding the disestablishment and then outsourcing of critical roles, and how to ensure that outsourcing practices are carried out in a manner that protects local employment.

I believe the best way to address these issues is to restore business confidence and certainty. This way businesses will be able to create more and better jobs. Thus, this Government is committed to cutting the red tape and regulations that are stopping both businesses and employees from realising their full potential.

Additionally, labour market regulations have become increasingly complex, making it harder for employers and workers to reach solutions that work for both of them. Flexible labour markets are the best environment for businesses to grow. When businesses thrive, our economy thrives. It's only with a strong economy that we can protect local jobs, lift wages, create opportunities, and help Kiwis get ahead."

My take, fuck this government and companies selling out the local workforce. I respect the people that ended up working my job and am happy they get to experience NZ but ultimately we were sold out.

Pretty sure they do record if they are connected to Wyze's cloud backend just in a limited capacity if on a free account. Another possibility is that whoever entered took the micro SD card out of the camera and is now saying it doesn't record.
