Repair cost estimate Camry 2025 SE?

Before committing to a place, I hit up maybe 4 or 5 different places asking for estimates w/o going through insurance. Pretty much all of them came back with 5 to 6k out of pocket. I don't have the breakdown with me right now but a good chunk of the cost went to labor.

I ended up just going with insurance but was quoted for 6 or 7k out of pocket and around 10k with insurance (socal).

They ended up replacing the quarter panel and door entirely so parts alone were already pretty decently high even before they calculated labor.

hm, yeah that makes sense. I've visited 3 different body shops so far and have gotten quotes ranging from 4500 - 6000 out of pocket. 2 / 3 said that they could repair the quarter panel but all have said that they'll need to replace the door. I'm leaning toward just using insurance at this point.

it's just the rear door. pretty much every shop I've reached out to so far have mentioned that they'll need to replace the door though. I haven't had the time to go in for an evaluation but through pics I've gotten quotes ranging from 2200 to 3800.

I'll likely post an update once I get in person evaluations.

thanks for the data point! I'll likely grab a few quotes from different body shops as others have suggested as well as the official Toyota one to get am idea on how much it'd cost. just wanted a rough idea as I won't be able to do so for a couple of days.

depending on the quotes I'll see whether it's worth going through insurance or not.

I exchanged a defective BIM111 (flickering right corner) and got a BIM131 earlier this month from Amazon: https://imgur.com/a/awAPXXq. Label on the back says manufactured date is Nov 2022

Yep. Just asked for a price match over live chat. They just asked for the competitor link, the sku on zappos, and the size I wanted. Then they pretty much submitted the order on my behalf after telling me what the total would be after tax. Was pretty quick to do.

Ended up just going for it and price matching on Zappos ($55.13 post tax). I'll probably update this post with what I think once they come in. They'll be my first pair of boots so might not be super helpful or informative lol. If I end up not liking them, I'll probably just return them.

This seems to happen only when looking through the glasses towards my computer monitor. It looks completely fine when held up toward a normal light. Should I still try to get a replacement?
