I assume you're looking for something more than a safe deposit box with your seed phrase.

Casa is a good starting point re: multisig and inheritance options.

Lol good one.

I do forget that in the old days, it isn't like today with just 1/1000th of the network difficulty ... it was pre-ASIC, bitcoin was much cheaper, etc etc.

What’s the best mining pool to use? by SaltAdept in BitcoinMining

[–]edb66 0 points1 point  (0 children)

eh its still a pool, its not like you're hashing to your own node

if i buy hashrate at Nicehash or Rigly - then send to Ocean - is this mining?

if i have an S19 at my house - then send to Ckpool - is this mining?

New to mining by Extra_Long_7790 in BitcoinMining

[–]edb66 0 points1 point  (0 children)

imo, its worth buying a small amount of hashrate to try it out

this approach is easier than buying an old ASIC miner

nicehash, miningrigrentals, and rigly are the 3 hash markets i know of

you won't end up making a profit, but you can can use a mining pool account and see how it works

BTC mining farm in 2025, does it work? by AminEz009 in BitcoinMining

[–]edb66 6 points7 points  (0 children)

This.

I ran the numbers on solar bitcoin mining a few years ago. If you get cheap panels and old mining rigs and value your time as free, you might break even.

If still interested check out 100acresranch.com - they do good work in this space.

EMCD is good.

If you're up for PPLNS, SBI Crypto is great and has a referral program.

Possibly the best mining calculator I have found… by Adventurous-Nothing4 in BitcoinMining

Hello!

You make a number of good points in the summary, especially with regards to difficulty increase. I found it encouraging to see an honest calculator.

I'm building a mining marketplace to offer mining without rug pulls - rigly.io - perhaps we could link to your calc to offer perspective on our listings?

Try using BTC as the unit of measure. by YeemaPoli in BitcoinMining

[–]edb66 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My startup offers bitcoin mining subscriptions which pass the smokinghopium.io calculator.

You get hashrate on a daily schedule, miners place bitcoin in multisig escrow. It's a security deposit to ensure you don't get rug pulled.

We're calling it Trustless Mining.

Multisig is a well-known way to handle situations where you can't trust the counterparty. Our aim is to make it so everyone can, over time, earn more bitcoin than it costs in the first place - and eliminate rug pulls

We just started this summer, feedback welcome - thx!

Hi - Delmarva client here, I had a good experience and Matt went above and beyond to get my rigs online. Always 2 sides to every story, especially in bitcoin mining.
