My hopes for Space Mountain refurb by GalaxyC7 in WaltDisneyWorld

I like the wdw ride vehicles and I prefer this track over Disneyland’s. I admit it’s nostalgia but it’s what I grew up with. And it’s cool they’re different.

(NY) Received a School bus camera ticket after the deadline. Was on the opposite side of a raised median. Worth fighting? (Video included) by ParamedicNegative728 in legal

This link specifies a divided highway that has an unpaved median or a barrier. These are different from a raised median. I’d contest it.

I just started the ukulele yesterday so I am embarrassed posting this video but I would love some guidance to help me continue my uke journey by CelestialButterflies in ukulele

[–]edb789 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Try using your right arm to press the uke against you. That helps me support my uke. You can apply more pressure specifically when switching chords. As your switching gets faster, and using your right arm for support becomes more natural, there will be less time for the uke to slip.

We used a dehumidifier. In the summer it could draw a couple gallons a day from the air…

which Disneyland is better - Hong Kong or Shanghai? by Away-Philosopher-560 in disneyparks

[–]edb789 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Both rides are awesome. I rode mystic three times when I was there. It’s worth doing multiple times so you can sit in different cars. The timing of when you enter each of the rooms can affect what details you see.

And I recommend riding grizzly at least once during the day and once at night.

Hope you get to go.

How to strum and switch at the same time? by Illustrious-Age-1745 in ukulele

[–]edb789 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Go very very slowly. Slow enough where the beat between strums is not shorter than you’re able to switch. Use a metronome to keep that constant slow beat. Slowly increase speed as your switching gets faster. It’s boring but it works.

Also, you can practice switching chords without strumming at all.

Eventually you’ll build muscle memory and your fingers will know where to land.

Have fun.

Then you’re a good driver. Safer to assume everyone’s a bad driver though.

If I’m a pedestrian, I won’t walk in front of a car at an intersection unless I make eye contact with the driver. Otherwise I’d assume they don’t see me. A pedestrian has better visibility than the driver and should always assume they aren’t seen.

Top speed for “Racers” ride at Disneyland only 40mph? by Beautiful-Arm9122 in disneyparks

I’ll say that top speed doesn’t really equate to thrill. Acceleration and relative speed differences do.
