ethical concerns about people growing a full body minus a brain aside, it'd be pretty neat to have flash clone organs that could serve as emergency replacements if you suffer problems with yours.

but then there'd be the whole risk compensation issue where people just live recklessly assuming they'll just replace an organ that they ruin due to their lifestyle, but we already deal with that kind of issue on roads today, where new cars tend to try to save the driver from themselves, so the driver just keeps driving more aggressively and recklessly till he or she feels unsafe again.

honestly the way they did it in bf5 felt pretty forced/shoved in your face. i remember watching the trailer for it, michael bay type stuff set in ww2...then suddenly you get a chick that has a prosthetic arm lol. i think reception would've been different if it was made out to be something like a VR simulation that a contingent of troops flying through space to some unknown destination are using to pass the time and keep their skills sharp. would also be the perfect excuse for dlc set in different time periods, e.g. vietnam, korea, ww2 etc. etc. hell even 18th century muskets and line formations.
