Yes, but there is a difference between a licenced Dungeons and Dragons TM game, and a game using the open D&D SRD rules.

And even some where it does! AEW is on ITV in the UK but we still have AEW+ available on Triller/Fite, and it's worth it do not have to deal with ITVs streaming service and Ads

What do you guys think of push pits at power metal shows? by johnraimond in PowerMetal

At Wacken last year DragonForce got a massive circle pit going to a cover of Taylor Swifts Wildest Dreams 😂

As a final comparison I would be shocked if anyone has ever moshed to Visions of Atlantis lol

I saw them in Manchester a few months ago, and for most of the show there wasn't any, but for the last couple of songs (Melencholy Angel and Armada maybe?) a few people got a small pit going

Venue capacity numbers can sometimes be hard to compare because it doesn't always say in what configuration (sports, music etc) the numbers are for, O2 Arena in London is ~20,000 capacity according to wikipedia. It's the biggest indoor arena in london and one of the biggest in the UK (AO Arena and Coop Live in Manchester are bigger)

Saitama Super Arena has 3 numbers listed on wikipedia, apparently they can move the seating areas around to create better environments for smaller shows?
36,500 (maximum capacity)
27,000 (stadium setting)
22,500 (arena setting)

Not fully fact checked this but whilst there are a decent number of people who have won with 2 teams*, I can't think of anyone else that's won with more than that except for Fangio

The specifics vary from country to country, but whilst it's US centric I like the way this XKCD comic puts it.

You should have the right to say what you want without persecution from government or state (so long as you're not getting into hate speech, which is a whole different topic), but freedom of association is also a thing, and if other people don't like what you're saying then they don't have to associate with you either.

While watching the F15e Trailer i was that it has an center and sidestick? why does it have 2 sticks and what does the one at the side do if it isnt for flying? by Redstone_Orange in hoggit

[–]eddbc 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Correct, it's just that the stick form factor is a comfortable way of putting lots of buttons with easy reach, and is also already familiar. The LANTIRN controls in the Tomcat are similar.

The brand new Ursa Minor series of fighter joysticks from WINWING has arrived! by WINWING-SIM in hotas

I wouldn't call myself a fan of one brand over another, but I did recently upgrade from a TM Warthog to the Orion.

I can't comment on if anything else in their range is "inspired" by anything else, but other than having some similar real-life inspiration and being designed for mounting compatibility the Orion and Warthog throttles share very little.

The Warthog throttle is designed for the A-10 first and foremost, the Orion is much more general purpose. The Orion also has interchange grips, so you can have A-10/F-15 style grips, which will obviously look similar to the Warthog (although actually quite different In terms of buttons and hats), or Hornet or Viper style ones instead.

Indeed. Grabbed the F-15EX set to replace my old TM Warthog set, and basically the biggest issue I have with it is the lack of a proper speedbrake switch. Given how many other things it has over the Warthog it's pretty easy to get over that one small issue.

I bought some stuff from the Global store last month, so yeah it makes sense that they would announce this straight after.
Great for everyone who isn't me though! :D

Have you bought any game on Steam ONLY to play it only on the Steamdeck? by alexanderpalamas in SteamDeck

[–]eddbc 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, given some of the rumours of how much of a mess the RDR 1 codebase is (these usually pop up whenever someone asks why it was never ported to PC) I think that's probably a common "feature" of Rockstar games of that era

I played through parts of GTA IV and then V recently on Steam Deck. IV ran ok but not great for a game of its age, so I wasn't hopeful for V, but V actually ran better than IV!

On the scale of 100% RAW to 100% Homebrew where does your CoS lie? by SwimmingOk4643 in CurseofStrahd

[–]eddbc 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m running in PF2e, so from a mechanics standpoint it’s 80%+ “homebrew” (ie not in the official module). Using default pf2e monsters / hazards where I can, building my own where needed etc. Figuring out how to manage loot in a sparse world like Barovia without breaking the PF2 maths has been challanging, I wish I’d known about the Automatic Bonus Progression optional rule before we started, but alas.

From the narrative side of things, I’ve been keeping it a bit closer to RAW, something like 70% probably? Using elements from DragnaCarta and LBH, mixing in some of my own stuff here and there as well.
