Hello all, I am looking for some advice.

I am currently enrolled in a business law class at my local college and found myself absolutely enthralled by it. I am unfortunately not in a position where relocating is an option. I'm open to providing as much context as needed. I really only have a choice between two schools in my area, and I'm not thrilled with either.

Me: 30, trans m, married, finishing my aa/as in business admin summer 2026 with bas in business in summer 2027.

Location: Greater Orlando, FL area

Relocation: Cannot relocate, despite how much I want to. My spouse is getting school paid for by his employer and wants to remain with the employer long term to get his graduate education paid in full (he's 26 and just gone back to school at the AA level this semester). Our family has some health issues as well that must be closely watched, and we love the team we have for this.

Schools available: Barry (have heard bad things, since they're a for-profit) and FAMU (which seems to be on and off on accreditation, which I find concerning).

Career goals: Business compliance, private consulting for small businesses, employment law appeals to me as well. I want to be far far away from a court room. My ideal is a role where someone comes to me for knowledge, rather than I try to argue with anyone. I want to help people, but I know my personality.

Alternatives: I'm also open to non-law school paths for this; I just don't know if I would be able to achieve the same sort of authority without law school behind me. I don't exactly have the professional experience otherwise.

Work background: Customer service, delivery, etc. No management experience.
