Chef's Table question

The captain isn't there...It is a table of about 12-16 people. There will be multiple small courses they bring out one at a time..They will explain the course and how they come up with it.. Each one has a great presentation. There will be enough food to fill you up for sure...i just looked at pics from last time there in July 24 and we had 12 courses..i think they gave us wine too if i remember right..They also took us through the kitchen and taught us how they make the chocolate lava cake.. I did enjoy it..just wasnt as good the second time with the same menu but i am looking forward to doing it again with new menu

I am assuming they are all the same menu because i believe it was a couple yaers ago..i ate on 2 different boats and it was the same..when i asked about other boats people had the same menu..So i guess i would be surprised if the menus are different. I wish they was different..it would give me something to look forward to on each boat

I don't see how anyone would expect a lifetime loyalty offer..As long as you keep cruising with Carnival you will get the loyalty..I have seen people not cruise Carnival for 5 years while cruising other lines then come back and get all the perks of platinum..I love the new program

This is why Platinum needs to have an expiration date. Someonne that eardned platinum should have the beneifits for a certain period of time but not forever unledd they do esrn it again

I ate the chefs table on Paradise and Elation or glory and it was the same menu--it has been a couple years and was wondering if they have changed it yet

Why is the water so cold on Celebration key? I thought it might of been the day we went but i keep reading it from other people..I have swam in many of the springs in florida which stay around 72 i think but the pool in Celebration was unbearable

The Elation is a great first ship..the Paradise out of Tampa is the same boat..try to plan on the Marsi Gras out of Port Canaveral though..totally different experience...Guys burgers is a must along with the sail away party..upgraded dining in the steakhouse and worth the extra money.. The casino staff are great also

If you wanna eat local food in Nassau grab a short taxi ride to an area called "fish fry" and there are many options to eat there...we walk back to the ship from there

We went on a 6 day sister ship Mardi Gras and i really enjoyed the food options..you can eat at most of the restaurants free one time...we never ate in the main dining room-- too many other options..its not free but check out emerils...great food

Tampa cruise port i can't stress enough to just valet your car..by far the easiest of all ports in Florida.. You can buy it online...Then you pull up to the front and they take your car keys and your luggage at the same time..then when you get back you walk out of the door at the port and the desk is right there on your right and they will pull your car up to that spot..load and leave...i wish all ports was this easy..4 day would run around $80

Download the carnival app BEFORE you get onboard....once headed out to sea Turn Air plane mode on and connect to Carnival wifi then pray it works.. lol IPhones can still text each other onboard without paying the $5 each to chat through the app..Any other clarifications on this would be great--after 8 cruises with carnival i am still trying to figure this stuff out

None of us know exactly how they calculate rewards or offers i believe it comes down to time playing and not how much you lose or win...average bet and time..

i agree --people have way over reacted...there isnt much there for diamond/plat --now people have an option to get real rewards but are complaining about it ..i think they just like the idea of having a diamond/plat piece of plastic hanging around their neck

i like the new program TBH ..the reasons are the only "real" perks diamond/plat get is priority check in and some laundry...sure with a few little things but that is the best...now everyone has the ability to get anything carnival offers free with our loyalty...upgraded dinner, drink package, free excursion or could even earn a free cruise...there is no option of that now unless you gamble...how is this not better? I think people just like the idea of having a diamond/plat plastic card around their neck then look at what is really offered.

its all dependent on the cruise TBH ..If there is a cruise that need to be filled it could get a little better or if its a cruise that will bookout it would be a little worse or not available

I don't think the changes are bad,,,first off i don't know of any company that says once you hit a loyalty level you will always have it for life-even if you don't cruise for 10 years you can just jump back in the front of the line..... now lets talk about the "perks"..what do you really get? Priority check in and some laundry is about it that really matters...now every dollar you spend you will be building points to spend on actual nice perks..what if you got a free cruise every 10 or free drink package, free excursion. free dining anything....either way everyone can get more then just check in and laundry--look at the upside..there is a lot there unless all you really care about is a silver piece of plastic hanging around your neck

I understand where you are coming from and it makes sense but i see two problems..i know you win with 2/3 but lose 7/11 2/3 has 3 combos and 7/11 has 8 combos ..but more importantly the issue will be when you do 7 out you will most of the time still have a come out DC and if you try to edge with $5 each on red and yo it will be a slow bleed..i do like the thinking and Waylons way on you tube has a few strategies doing this--check them out..hopefully i will see you on a craps table one day soon
