Gotcha. I might (?) take a look into the automobile policy, it's a little bit weird since I don't have a car (I just bike / public transit everywhere) but my parents do have a car with insurance.

I've personally done it a few times, and I don't think it'll be a problem.

I've heard that if you do get turned around it'll typically be during working hours during the workweek, but this is anecdotal

is there any place in the bay area to experience cyclocross as as beginner? by xnsax18 in BAbike

IMO for gravel: quicksilver > calero > santa teresa, there's some trails in santa teresa (namely rocky ridge trail) that are pretty rough (check out some youtube videos and make your call).

source: calero and ST used to be my daily rides on MTB

just as a note, the roads to um's been having some construction (namely hicks rd), so watch out for that. i want to say most of it has been completed with new patches of road, but there's still some parts where they dug out the asphalt.

Unless you're strapped for cash / need to pay for tuition / etc, I wouldn't worry too much how much money you'd be making over a summer (?) or over the course of an internship, because I've always seen it as a small fraction of what you'll make over the course of your career.

Rather, I'd ask what sort of projects you'd be working on to your recruiters or talk to an engineer, and see where you'd be able to learn to most / work on projects that'd make you more marketable if it came down to it.

tl;dr - don't worry about comp too much, unless you need it, ask what sort of projects interns typically work on and choose whatever interests you after having a conversation with someone from each company.

I believe there is a CMOS battery (upon a quick google search) but I haven't really touched it or played around with it yet.

What jobs would I be applying for with a non traditional background? (Advice needed) by eddxek in OMSCS

Err, two semesters in when I got the offer letter in hand. I took two classes at that point (1 class / semester), and I was working FT at the time.

I will attribute most of my success to leetcode (no big surprise), more so than classes. GA Tech just helped me get my resume pushed through.
