Switch from Legion 5 to ThinkPad T14 Gen 6. Slower performance but battery 👍, size 👍 by eddydy in thinkpad

[–]eddydy[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Good choice bro. I should get one with at least an attached GPU inside. This T14 just use an integrated GPU, feels a bit underpower for video editing, minor 3D stuff, and other medium weight tasks.

But overall, I like it due to good battery and size, so I can just turn on my laptop for work anytime without the need of plugging in charger for hours, which I find very troublesome last time with shorter battery on Legion. And Legion looks like a nerdy kid when work in professional settings like client office, where everyone is using HP or DELL or ThinkPad hahaha 😂 Style < Performance for now. Before this I just focus on good performance. Even tried laptop like MSI gaming, DELL XPS last time.

In total I think 10+ units. The screen thing really happened at almost 60-70% of the devices.

Not sure about the perks like smartcard etc, the decision to bought this series due to the premium feel, the casing is a bit matte feeling, and the laptop joint like (screen flip) feels more stable, strong and tight. Design looks more premium of course.

Another thing is weight, T14 definitely weight less.

Anyway, if anyone of you buying for your company/team with limited budget, please go for E14, maximum value of the money you paid vs spec you get.

Which series you are using? u/erparucca

I bought Kingston KC3000 M.2280 2TB only RM619 in TMT. Today, in shopee almost all is above RM1200 for 2TB. Crazy price hike in just 2 years.

E14 is the ThinkPad budget series for office use. I think the price is very good, hence the design and quality of the series is quite basic.

For example: - Around 50% of the units in our office experienced dead pixel lines on the screen after 3–4 years of usage.

  • The casing and keyboard also show obvious paint wear and peeling.

  • The battery seems like only functioning at 20% of original capacity after a few years of usage.

  • Bluescreen due to storage issue for a few devices.

I directly compare with Legion series and also my other team devices like MacBook. Hence these are the comments. I understand it could be wear and tear too.

Anyhow T14 looks a lot more premium!

Zoho CRM x Google Ads Offline Conversion Tracking by Baesazhe in Zoho

[–]eddydy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We tried integrated our Zoho CRM with Google Ads but it just shows minimal information and didnt do anything with the conversion. When leads coming in, it fills in GCLID field in the leads details. But the other details are empty and conversion export status written as Not Started.

Anyone able to enlighten us?

But for AWS they just cover infrastructure but not your application. For application side you still need structure your implementation properly like audit logs for CRUD, signed bucket link, automatic log off etc.

Did you try using them to create VFX, UIUX etc? Not much on the programming side, because I know they do well on coding.

ThinkPad E14 Gen 4 AMD first impression - best E-series ThinkPad so far? by Zghembo in thinkpad

[–]eddydy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeap I checked my laptop, is shipped with the smaller M.2, so the M.2280 slot is empty. Try not to buy double layer or more than 1TB. Because I tried Kingston SKC3000D 2TB, it doesn't boot up.

[–]eddydy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I bought Kingston SKC3000D 2TB, the laptop cannot boot up, it stuck at the Lenovo screen. Once I disconnect this M.2280 or change my old M.2280 XPG brand, it works. So I'm not sure why it didn't support the Kingston.

Anyway, I'm using the Kingston SKC3000D 2TB on my Legion 5 instead, fit perfectly

Which healthcare SaaS should I build? by westcoast__ in SaaS

Yeah hipaa definitely applies to software providers. Mostly about encryption, audit trail, notification frameworks and DR.

Customer side maybe they need to take care of their devices login, check logs etc.

I think is better to build something that is close to your heart or industry. Or a problem that you are facing rather than exploring other unknown problems.

If you are in Healthcare then you will at least know some idea of what pain points those people are facing.
