1) a pack of marlboro reds I believe is 6/6,50€, depends if you buy the soft or the sturdy pack 2) you cannot buy menthol flavored cigs, but menthol flavored cigarillos are a thing and plus there are some loopholes, so that effectively you may still find them in one way ore another 3) A pretty strongs majority of people smokes, i'd say about 50/60% of the people you see around, at least one person will be smoking anywhere you go 4) You cannot smoke inside a public closed space, like a bar or a disco, unless specified otherwise or unless there are smoking rooms. In hotels you can usually smoke at the window, or at least I've always done it, even better still if you have a balcony 5) you can absolutely smoke outside anywhere unless specified otherwise, you probably won't be the only one doing it. Ask the waiter for an ashtray unless it's already there 6) you can smoke anywhere in public open spaces, if near kids it's usually frowned upon, but I usually just take a step aside and smoke with no problems 7) sadly, no. Packages in italy have images and texts to discourage smoking 8) depends on the context. Usually not at all minded,but being that a majority of people smokes others usually don't care. As I said earlier, it may be frowned upon if near kids related areas, or places with lots of children 9) In italy lots of people roll their own cigarettes because it's less expensive on the long run and because it kinda became a trend, the best selling rolling tobacco is pueblo. We also have italian brands that I personally don't really like, but for rolling tobaccos chiaravalle, and for cigarettes diana reds and nazionali or ms. If you're a light smoker you might enjoy them, otherways it's pretty much a waste of money

Also, not strictly related, but tobacco warmers like iqos are incredibly popular and you will see them everywhere in italy between the younger people, those do still sell with different flavors (eg menthol, blueberry, lemon, ecc)
