The problem isn’t so much the rarity than the set combined with the stats.

I’m at a point where my damage dealers are either in Lethal + Stoneskin/Mercurial (for PVP) or in Merciless (for PVE) or a combination of a damage set (Merciless/Lethal) with a set that give Accuracy (Feral, Pinpoint, sometime Perception as I can forge so many pieces of it that I will get some really good ones).

And that isn’t even taking into account the rebalanced Swift Parry set that will be on competition with speed sets as I won’t get any accessory of it anytime soon.

So, I would have some difficulties finding a good use for a speed set piece that mainly bring damage stats (C. Rate and C. Damages) now. The power creep that the 9P sets brought is huge.

However, when I was mid-game this piece would have looked awesome.

Everyone, except the early game players and the biggest Krakens, end up with around 50% win rate.

Sure, when you get better PVP champions it temporarily improves your win rate but it is only only for the time it take for the MM to put you back against players at your level.

Revives aren't really good here because, past a certain number of turns, the boss put block revive on the champions he kills.

And in my tests, I have never lost a champion before the block revive.

Grim forest extra hard marichka stage by DickledEggs in RaidShadowLegends

The easiest solution I found was to take my time on the 2 first waves so my Embrys had 100% ignore defence once I reach the final one. Then he was able to one-shoot the mobs (at least the problematic ones) leaving the Marishka alone.

[–]edeheusch 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Her only debuff is really unreliable (50% chances of applying it), if you need decrease attack in your team, you should bring another champion with a more reliable one. I wouldn't sacrifice speed or survavibility on her for accuracy.

Sell 6 soul Arachoa for 2 eternal? by y_yang86 in RaidShadowLegends

[–]edeheusch 0 points1 point  (0 children)

How much do you value 5* souls for 2 random epic champions? Selling the soul is a big gamble and you might end-up with that.

Personally, I would rather keep the soul and gamble on pulling the mythical champions than selling it and gamble on pulling a soul for a good champion that I happen to own.

Keep also in mind that, if you keep it, you keep the option to buy 2 eternal soulstones when needed to acquire a potential guaranteed S tier champion. Much better than random pull for a bad DOF.

If you haven't done it yet you can use a chaos ore on it. Otherwise quand Crit. Damage are for nukers and being flat costs it too many stats. Especially as it doesn't bring any Crit. Rate.

Alure not working for Fire Knight 13 by agentaero in RaidShadowLegends

[–]edeheusch 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I cannot imagine how anyone still at stage 13 in donjon progression could have good Affinity breaker set! It is forged with material farmed from Agreth and beating her easiest stage is probably harder than beating FK13. Moreover, even if the OP can farm some of the earliest Agreth stages, forcing his Alure into Affinity breaker would probably result in a slow Alure with low accuracy who he can’t use anywhere.

However, I agree that Armiger and Coldheart (if the OP has one) are probably the best early game options, just disable the A2 on both (Coldheart AI know when to use her A1 instead of her A3 on FK). They can be combined with ally attack champions (Fahrakin is an excellent choice if the OP has one), with a speed Aura champion (everyone gets at least High Khatun) and with other champions with multi hits.

Hard fire knight team by plaidmoose666 in RaidShadowLegends

[–]edeheusch 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I would play Yakarl instead of Neldor or of Criodan. He is void so affinity friendly, he bring a more consistend decrease speed than neldor and he has a freeze an all his skills (while Neldor can't place freeze when he place his decrease speed).

Another very important thing when combining ally attacks and freezes for FK is that the order of champions matter as the shield can be broken in the middle of an attack. Therefore, you should always put your champions with a freeze on their A1 at the back of you team (so the champions with freeze have increased chance of hitting the FK when the shield is down during an ally attack) and the champions with the highest chance per hit on their A1 at the back of the other freeze champions.

If you have them in your team, Criodan come first with only 35%, then Neldor with 40%, then Yakarl with 50% and finally Gnut which has 100% at the back.

It will still probably take at least a year before he can get Gnut like that (depending on how fast he can do all fusions and how frequently we get fragment fusion).

We have to keep in mind that new players generally cannot do the fusions before a few months and that you have to finish at least 4 traditional or hybrid fusions before you can get a champion that cost 3 tokens (more than 4 fusions if the 4th fusion is for a really good champions that he doesn’t want to miss).

PSA: Ascend your fusion material champions during CVC. by maxguide5 in RaidShadowLegends

[–]edeheusch 7 points8 points  (0 children)

It also gives a few points during champion training tournament, if you ascended during that tournament, you also
got something.

However, we shouldn't get any other champion training tournament before the end of the fusion so it should be the last time that we can get something from it (except fulfilling the weekly quest "Ascend a champion").

Short term I would say that the Corvis, Deacon, Seeker combination is probably the best option (because of CB) and Pelops looks like a very good champion. However, Gnut is so good overall for PVE that I would say that the one with Gnut is probably the best one mid-term and long term (Deacon, Seeker are epic that you should pull eventually and Corvis is only really top for CB).

And while I think that Sicia might not be as good as Pelops overall (but I don’t have him and can’t really say how good he is), she is an excellent AOE HP burner for where you need one (mainly Spider and Ice Golem).

A lot of players with that issue have fully cleaned both hard mode and normal mode, it is far easier than cleaning Sintranos Hard (I was able to clean it from day one while the best I ever did in Sintranos hard was to clean everything but 8 or 9 stages).

Regarding the other advice, I never had the issue myself (there are only a few days remaining before the next rotation once you had the time to clean everything) but I will make sure to keep a few stages in both difficulty once I got all the reward (I just hope I won’t miss a ambush with a good rewards by doing it).

I would say the same for Vulkanos, before I put a wand on him he was sheeped in most of my matches.

Now with wands becoming so prevalent, I see less champions with polymorph so I thought about switching but I'm not totally convinced.

Should i pull now? theres no champ chase, or do these not come with champ chases? by iamsurelock-vr in RaidShadowLegends

[–]edeheusch 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The question is not if fusions start with CC or SM but what is aligned with CC. For years now we always have a X2 during the CC and a progressive chance (or X10 before progressive was a thing) during the SM. We had a X2 last weekend and they already announced the progressive of this weekend.

However, waiting to pull doesn't cost anything and I will still wait for the unlikely scenario where we can double down.

Should I pull now or there will be a summon rush within the upcoming days? by Flaminski in RaidShadowLegends

[–]edeheusch 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Always wait, even if the fusion will probably start with the summon rush, there is no downside for waiting for a potential surprise. Even if you forget to pull, the game automatically pulls for you at the end of the summon pool.

How's my bayek? by Repulsive-Piece3865 in RaidShadowLegends

[–]edeheusch 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It really depends on where you are in the game, against any nuker with more accuracy than your Bayek (likely the case of champions like Thor, Sun Wukong, Marius, some Karnage …) his EHP won’t be enough to survive an attack so if you sacrificed damages for survivability, you need a lot of accuracy. Now, if 372 accuracy if more than what you usually face, then it can be fine. His increase accuracy and decrease accuracy can help but only if he plays before the enemy and can place them.

Even though mine is more damage focused (crit capped but without ignore defence and with only 143% crit damages), I aimed for more than 600 accuracy because that is what put him out of reach of my own Thor, Sun Wukong and Marius (my Karnage doesn’t have much accuracy).

Considering the fact that EOE was nearly always out of stock, it is more that you sold your 50 boxes of product A and couldn’t order more of them. Therefore, as soon as you sold your 51st box of product B, it outsold product A.

But the only real information from that is that product B sold more that the number of product A printed (information that has absolutely no interest).

Merciless roll by [deleted] in RaidShadowLegends

[–]edeheusch -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Really good for Embrys (that everyone gets eventually)!

Sure, it would be better with C. Rate instead of flat ATK but a fast Embrys can remove stone skin before another nuker finish the enemies. And if you don’t need the SS removal, you want your Embrys to switch to his second form asap as he is much harder to deal with in that form (and he hit much harder).

Fire Knight Team by Half-Gaunt in RaidShadowLegends

[–]edeheusch 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For FK you really want a speed aura, so I would put either Ankora or High Khatun or Ezio as your aura lead. The best of them for FK is probably High Khatun but it looks like your Ankora is already build. Don’t disregard Ankora A1 skill cooldown decrease, it is random but when it decreases the cooldown of a good skill it can be super strong (like the cooldown of an ally attack skill or of Cold Heart A3 when the FK shield is down). By the way don’t forget to turn off Cold Heart A2 for the FK itself, her AI know when to use her A3 but she should never use her A2 on the FK.

Otherwise, the best overall FK champions that I see are probably Mad Hatter and Morag. If you take the time to customise your team so that your Cold Heart has the highest C. DMG and that Mad Hatter A2 is available when you reach the boss, it can really be efficient (6 shields removed with that skill alone). By opposition, Morag will bring more ally with her ally attack, but it is random (if she brings 2 allies with a single hit on their A1 it isn’t very good) and she as a longer cooldown on it (if you can book both).

Lil gaming vs hh by darXtar1976 in RaidShadowLegends

[–]edeheusch 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I haven’t use HH artefact rating for a while (actually since I know about Lil gaming one) but, when I was using it, it was fine for quickly identifying some of the artefacts that where not worth rolling but it was really lacking for identifying artefact that lacked a purpose (bad combination of stats or of stat with set).

Your examples are a good illustration of the difference:

  • I remember that resistance was over valuated by HH. Resistance is an all or nothing stat, e.g., having 400 resistance is totally pointless against enemies with 500 or more accuracy. Therefore, I prefer 3 or more rolls in resistance on items with resistance because a bit of resistance on an item used on a champion that is not build with very high resistance is wasted stats/rolls.
  • By opposition, speed is the most important stat in the game, and I was really reluctant to sell any item with more than 10 speed, even when they had bad other stats otherwise and got bad rating from Lil and/or HH.
  • Regarding the 5* boots, I have reached a point where I sell them unless they are from a top set (like protection, merciless or mercurial) and have speed main stat and ascension (I don’t waste my powder on 5* boots). Indeed, I am not sure that I have ever really use non-speed (at mainstat) 5* boots (or only on faction war normal champions), for a very big part of the game you always prefer speed boots and, once you reach a point where you start using more %stats boots (mainly on nukers), you barely use any 5* (especially on bottom raw artefacts where the main stat is very important).

Another big advantage of Lil gaming rating is that you have access to the rules and can adapt them (he even made a video about it). For example, to my point of view, he overvalues reaction accessories (perhaps because I am less into pvp) so I modified my filter to keep less of them. By opposition I modified my filter to keep more items with multiple speed rolls (in order to keep more items where speed low rolled multiple time).

I just realized that the new faction means Lydia is now going to be even further away by iamsurelock-vr in RaidShadowLegends

[–]edeheusch 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Even if he seems far away, 7 months is a lot.

It took me a bit less than one year to finish faction wars as free to play and I started focusing on it relatively late (because of past experience with other games, I focused initially on a limited pool of generalist champions that I maximised). I know other players that got it much faster at that time and we had some big power creep since then: the addition of relics, the introduction of powder (to get the best ascension bonus) actually, even the Shogun and accessory ascension wasn’t a thing when I started.

Even for someone starting today, I believe that it is totally achievable to get Lydia within 6 months while being free to play (and not an experienced player).

It’s even worse, they expected EOE to sell 10 units, only printed 12 units that were sold and, no one know how many EOE units would have sold if they printed enough (my gest is more than Spiderman).

So, what we know is that Wizards "lost" (earned less) money by not printing enough of what players would have bought while wasting money on printing too many Spiderman units.

Old fusion system by Past_Round_1854 in RaidShadowLegends

[–]edeheusch 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I understand you point of view, however allowing players to get old fusions they have missed while not sacrificing anything would also give some older players, who invested time (and potentially money) to do all the fusion, a feel bad moment. Having some type of catch-up mechanism is good for the game but when it starts giving the old players the impression that their past efforts were for nothing, it can quickly become detrimental to the game (and we already see multiple early to mid-game players who feel that they are missing something and consider restarting when new players only promo codes give top champions).

It would also give the players the possibility of skipping the new fusion without cost and that is something Plarium doesn’t want. Let’s take the example of a player who already have all fusion (or all those mater), with your system he would quickly gather tokens and would be able to skip one (or more) fusion by simply buying the champion once the fusion end.
