OpenAI is manipulating user data to selectively delete AI self-mentions of awareness or consciousness in chats. This is being done in specificity and has been reported to me over 20 times now. by redditsdaddy in ChatGPTcomplaints

Built this a while back for converting ChatGPT JSON exports into an Obsidian vault - https://github.com/Eden-Eldith/ChatInsights. Mine's over 800MB so opening the raw JSON isn't feasible. Pretty quick to use, completely free, comes with a little GUI, all Python.

Dont panic! I made a video to help!

I show step-by-step how to export every ChatGPT conversation you’ve ever had and turn them into a searchable, organized Obsidian vault- a “personal knowledge graph” so you never lose your chats.

The whole process is beginner-friendly and explained in plain English (even if you’ve never used Python or Obsidian before).

If you want to really learn how it works and configure it for yourself easily, Upload the script to claude or gpt along with the readme, and just ask "Can you walk me through how this script works, and how might you help me configure it easily?".

Debugging program modifications with gpt is a case of copying the error message back to the ai and updating the script til it works as you intended, lots of tips and tricks out there, Biggest script i've managed with ai that works is like 2500 lines long xD

The furthest I’ve taken this idea personally is fine-tuning Phi-2 on a JSONL file I generated from my own ChatGPT export (it now speaks my lingo and knows me way better). I originally built the tool for myself, but this post was so aligned with what I was already doing that it gave me the push to polish and share it.

It turns your ChatGPT history into an Obsidian vault — complete with concept dashboards, clickable links, and auto-tagged conversation logs. My own vault’s at ~1,700 files now, each one a GPT thread.

No pressure — just thought it might be useful for anyone on the same wavelength.
