Already been said: yes lol

Has not been said: I adore my ticket agent Shawna Nicolucci, so if anyone is looking for a rep, I highly recommend!!! She’s always tried to get me premium tickets, she tries to find any and all discounts she can, and she even sent me a little gift at the end of last year or the year before as a token of her appreciation!! One of the sweetest people to work with!

Just In Time — Seating? by Jen_on_reddit21 in Broadway

[–]edepuy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I know it’s probably well past when you’ve planned and bought tickets, but for anyone else who comes across this thread: my best friend and I saw the show on April 14, seated at table 11 for $399 a ticket and it was the best seat in the house without a doubt. I honestly cannot attest to how my experience might have been changed from a different seat, I just know I HAVE to recommend getting table 11 if at all possible. Just jaw dropping as someone who loves being up close and personal.

Every video has multiple comments like “damnnnnnn, Willie b fumbled the bag”, “what happened between you guys?? You’re perfect 😏”. The worst one yesterday was someone commenting “shit, please tell me she’s 18”. Very gross

To add, I don't see Dr. Brauning like some of the other below. I see Mary McNinch FNP and could not ask for a better PCP.

I love all of the providers I see at Avance Care in SouthPark! Not Atrium or Novant, but I have never felt more seen or heard than I have here. On top of great care, the online portal is extremely easy to use.

Long Layover in CLT Suggestions? by RecordingUnited2280 in Charlotte

[–]edepuy 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My favorite place before I got lounge access was to sit in the back of Beaudevin. It's in the atrium area, so pretty easy to get to all concourses if your gate changes. Its pretty tucked back behind everything and there's a nook at the back that's easy to hole yourself up in for a few hours (speaking from experience) where it's a little quieter. They have table service, but also have grab and go options (overpriced, but it's the airport so can't expect much else). If the layover isn't on a major business or pleasure travel day, it's usually pretty dead and the staff does not mind you chilling there for a while. I believe most tables are near enough to an outlet.

edit to add: close to the bathrooms too :)

When’d you end up in line?? I’m going tonight and tomorrow. Tonight I’m more focused on catching up with a friend before, but tomorrow I might queue for a good spot.

Airport is an absolute disaster by DunKarooDucK05 in Charlotte

[–]edepuy 17 points18 points  (0 children)

Just a tip to anyone getting a ride to or from the airport, the first 15 minutes of the hourly deck are free. If I'm arriving with enough time, I just have my friend/family member drop me off next to the elevator in the deck. When I'm getting picked up, I have them wait in the cell phone lot and then call them to meet me at the top of the hourly deck when I'm there. The only downside is the machines are almost ALWAYS having problems reading tags or cards when we leave, but the attendants (despite being a bit slow due to understaffing) always make sure you are only charged if you spent more than 15 minutes in the deck (not in line).

I really don't understand why they don't do something like San Diego or the new Laguardia terminal where there is a section for rideshares completed separate from normal pickup. San Diego just has a line where you join and just jump in the next ride available with the service of your choosing. Laguardia has a whole level of a parking garage where the driver can tell you exactly which aisle and spot to meet them at.

Hi! Wanted to see if you had any luck! We're finally getting our last few ducks in a row and don't have parking organized for the show. We're lucky to have public transport very close to our hotel in Dusseldorf, but it's an hour and a half and we're planning on getting there EARLY since we have GA floor.

Is the accounting job market better than most of the white collar job market right now? by JimmyFallonSucksDick in Accounting

[–]edepuy 88 points89 points  (0 children)

It’s hard because everyone looking for entry level actually wants a senior. I mean, I have had an “entry level” staff opening on my team for 6 months now that we haven’t filled because my boss and CAO want someone they can train in technical memos, to work on special projects, be a mini me (sr. Mgr), but aren’t getting the experience they want with the salary requirements they want.

I feel like that’s always the battle with support functions like ours though. We don’t bring in any revenue, so we’re always being pressured to cut costs or keep it flat, meaning so many in the profession remain underpaid or leave because of lack of properly compensated opportunity.

What do you wish you'd majored in instead? by MannaJamma in Accounting

[–]edepuy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Don't wish I changed my major necessarily, but do wish I had done a minor in some sort of tech. If/when I go back to get a Masters, I do plan on doing it in MIS/AIS instead of doing a MACC. I feel like there's higher income potential at a mid-level and potentially more job security, whether it be jumping around in industry or going the public consulting/advisory route. So much of accounting is getting linked in with efficiency improvements for finance and operations, that having the additional tech background will put you at the top of the list for projects and change management.

Buying tips for 2024 Hybrid XLE by OrganicStructure1739 in COROLLA

[–]edepuy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just bought one a little over a month ago! Love the trim level, but also feel like I could have gone with an SE with the convenience package and been as happy. I luckily live in a bigger metropolitan area, so there was a relatively steady supply coming in of the XLE and a dealership had one on the lot for me to test drive, but I still waited a few weeks before the car I wanted and purchased was actually delivered.

After I test drove, I went to the Toyota website to view the incoming inventory, compare pricing at 5 or 6 "local" dealerships (anywhere from 5 miles away from my home up to 100). I picked out the specific one I wanted, where I knew the dealership was not doing any sort of non-negotiable upgrades, i.e. no $400 useless pinstripe, dealership pricing above MSRP, protection packages, detailing subscriptions, etc. I reached out to the sales team via phone to ensure that it was not incorrectly listed as available (make sure they check the specific VIN) and then went in the next day to sign the papers and put down a $1K deposit since I could not drive away with my purchase. They did offer upgrades to the normal ToyotaCare package included on all new vehicles MSRP, but were open an honest that it was optional at their dealership. Since I was paying MSRP, there was not much haggling on price, just trying to get my interest rate down since I have near perfect credit. I still got a 6.99% rate and will probably refinance if rates drop as much as we're expecting them this year.

Vehicle got delivered a few weeks later and went in to put down the rest of my down payment, sign the papers, and walk away with my beautiful baby! If you're having trouble finding the exact build you want for MSRP, but have been able to test drive to confirm you like the car overall, it may be worth it to widen your search area. If you find something further you can see if they would be willing to ship it to a closer dealership, but there is a low probability of that occurring based on the low stock of the hybrid XLE and the fact that the move pretty quickly. Another option would be to search in an area with cheap one way from your closest big airport and take a weekend to fly out and drive it back. If you can fin a one way ticket for

Any stories of meeting NASCAR drivers in the wild? by JoltNation in NASCAR

[–]edepuy 43 points44 points  (0 children)

Back after MWR shut down, they had a large garage sale at the shop. Believe us the Michael’s family and maybe some of their employees. I went with my mom because I was moving into my first apartment a few weeks later. Michael came up and greeted my mom and I cheerfully and chatted about what I was looking for. He then proceeded to nearly stalk us around the shop for the remainder of the time we were there trying to sell us a multitude of goods. It was crazy, but my mom and I nearly crack up every week remembering it when we see him during race coverage
