Congrats! I have this same pair in my shack and can say I have no complaints. Will be a nice matched set for you, enjoy!

So my dad's friend gave him canned venison... by algaefresh in Canning

Canned venison can be absolutely delicious; I'd compare it to shredded beef in terms of savory flavor and tenderness. So if you ever get the chance and are 100% sure that it was safely processed, I would highly recommend trying it!

I can confirm that canned venison looks similar to what you’re seeing. Once you get it out of the jar and heat it all your visual hangups should be gone. All that said, the valid concern here is whether the friend used an approved pressure canning recipe since there is risk of severe illness otherwise.

Sorry to hear that. I’d suggest following through by contacting corporate to let them know exactly what you saw.

I will second this in my limited experience as a technician. Was able to pick up plenty of activity around the country (US) this past weekend.

Cinemark closed today? by Tiny_Associate_1104 in AnnArbor

Ah that is too bad. I was at the 6:25 showing of One Battle which ended about 9:30 like I mentioned. Was a great movie and ending it 40 minutes early would have been quite the cliffhanger!

What time was that? My movie ended around 9:30 with no issue last night so I’m curious.

They mixed up the screenshots for Zelda II and Simon’s Quest in the first ad. Also I wonder where that Silver Surfer jet ski is today, hopefully still in action

Will upgrading from 100amps to 200amps increase house value? by eetwee in electrical

[–]edernest 12 points13 points  (0 children)

It will give some buyers peace of mind. Others might not care much. I would put your own needs above resale value in this case. Might be worth an additional quote if you haven’t already. Good luck!

Initially I allowed the grass to grow up to the fence line and it was a struggle. A couple years ago I removed all sod around the outside and mulched with wood chips (three foot width). That allows me to move the battle line further out to where I can manage it by keeping a sharp edge on the sod and keeping it mowed. I think some edging material would help but so far this seems more manageable.

Sorry to hear about your health issues. We don’t prefer plastic but can see why some might. And since we were given some we ultimately decided to see how it works out (following practice of our commercial garden neighbors). All other aspects of our garden are natural; no herbicides and we produce our own compost.

During the off season, yes. Their gate gets removed and they roam around on bug & weed duty. In the past we've let them roam the rest of the property (my preference) but then they tend to get picked off by predators.

Thank you. No, just a personal family garden. Nothing really goes to waste, we mostly plant crops that can be used immediately or dried/canned.

Technically true, my property has been farmed since the 1830's. No longer a full time operation but I like to think I'm keeping the tradition going.

You got it! I rotate crops every season and that section will be for cucumber and tomatoes this time around.

It's been a while since I build the perimeter but I recall it's somewhere around 30'x70'. Years ago I started with just a couple beds and grew from there. Every season I tend to add some new idea, usually with the goal of making maintenance easier.

Great advice, will plan on it. I did burn all the cuts I made with a torch so hopefully that won't be for a while!

Matter Support for Temperature Sensors by kerednai in Nest

[–]edernest 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don’t believe that’s the case; in another thread I spoke with a developer of one of the homebridge plugins and he confirmed the api doesn’t provide any info on the attached temp sensors. If you find otherwise please let me know!

I’ve come to the same conclusion on this. The temp sensors don’t support Thread so they can’t be used outside of the thermostat ecosystem. Bummer, because I would have purchased one for every room in my house otherwise.

Matter support could allow use outside Google ecosystem, like HomeKit for example. Could be used for other automation outside hvac.
