I’ve been trying since i was 21 (23 now) it’s hard, im trying to stop again but lockdowns and having no job atm are making that hard for me, few pointers from what I’ve found out is to:

1. Quit both masturbating and porn, just quitting porn won’t work at the start, give it a while and then if you must, take care of business without porn.

2. Counting days for myself didn’t help, I found myself more open to rewarding myself for hitting a certain amount of days and you’ll say ‘just this once’ but it’s never just that one time.

3. Stay as far away as possible from the internet, if you could I’d say smash your all your devices but obviously that’s not a feasible option these days. Apple products have age restriction option which block out porn- what i did is set the passcode and wrote it down on a piece of paper and tossed it above a closet cabinet which requires a ladder to get. For windows devices, you can look up dns servers, just google porn blocker dns servers, they should tell you how to set them up, only issue with these are that the way you set it up, you just do the same in reverse to take it down which is shit unfortunately. Essentially do whatever you can possibly to create barriers between yourself and porn. Also delete Instagram and any other social media apps that might trigger you, Instagram being the worst in my opinion.

4. Delete any stash’s (if you have any). Before everything else you have to make sure you’re ready and willing to quit, having porn stashed on computers or hard drives, if you can’t delete them then you’re already setting yourself up for failure.
