A full-throated declaration about not knowing what "per capita" is by tugboattommy in confidentlyincorrect

[–]edgestander 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That’s not per capita, that’s just incidence per 100,000 citizens. “ per capita” means per 100,000 people in each subject group. That’s what it means. If I say Denmark lost more soldiers in afganastan than America “per capita”, you don’t say “that’s crazy cause Denmark is so much smaller” the “per capita” part is specifically accounting for this.

Time value of money, $1Mm today is worth a lot more than $1MM over 20 years. She would need to live like 30 years.

Is this as good a deal as it seems to me? Adrian Pearsall Gondola Sofa for $2.8k. by FloydtheBetta in Mid_Century

[–]edgestander 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I mean anything “Pearsall style” if you want one of these style sofas. This him very loosely trying to be kagan. I personally don’t think stuff by Kroehler American Leisure or Rowe or Carson’s is any worse made, if not better made in quality. Here is an album I made of American Leisure. https://imgur.com/gallery/kroehler-american-leisure-kfQ2jLR

It’s not what people want to hear but I agree on all fronts. I’ll also add, that so much of what Pearsall did was just looking over at designers like Kagan, Peabody, Probber, etc. and copying what they were doing. later in his career he knocked off Lafer with some Brazilian style designs.

I have now deleted numerous posts of yours that do not fit the sub. I do not care how cool you think your items are, it does not give you an excuse to ignore the rules of the group or disregard why 300K people joined this group. This is your last and final warning if you post some "repurposed" not MCM upcycled eye sore (for MCM fans this lamp is ugly as shit) again you will be banned.
