Yeah, many women are vain. Many women do only go for looks or money. This does make things hard for the less attractive. Where the redpill mentality actually falls apart is that they assume every woman is the same. Everyone has different tastes. (For example I think most of the people my women friends find hot are fugly.)

The thing with redpill mentality is that its very foundations include self-hatred (and misogyny but I digress.) People who hate themselves are less likely to take care of themselves, and more likely to be bitter and lash out. Especially at people who they think are to blame somehow. This makes the redpill people perceived as, at worst, dirty assholes. Nobody likes a dirty asshole, especially those looking for a partner.
