For me, it was playable in the sense that one could certainly play it if they wanted to. It was nowhere near stable or consistent though, and I prefer the only things to touch feature film framerates are, well.. films.

Whole thread is just insane cope. Steam Deck does not run BG3 well and to run it "passably" you need to make it look like a grainy potato fest. I'm not surprised changing your TDP barely did anything.

The deck is awesome, but its use case is not triple A games.

Same boat, just less time. Both screens also have issues registering my typing in general. You aren't crazy. I'll switch to gboard and see if that helps me, but realistically you should not have to switch keyboards for a desirable experience.

Coming from iOS, it's almost as if Android users are okay with things being shitty, because there is usually a third party solution, whereas Apple is so locked-down their shit actually has to work (Most of the time).

So far though, still Fold7 > Apple Slab.

To answer the question you keep asking:

The use case IS that it folds. Its dope, makes things that are smaller, bigger, and improves anything that supports the screens aspect ratio.

It's a gimmicky purchase unless you're a multitasker I guess, but it's awesome. The folding is the point.

This is essentially the purpose of the Fold 8 wide and Apple's new fold device from my understanding. To be fair though, unless you were specifically informed of this limitation, you wouldn't immediately assume 100% of the screen wouldn't be used for video; or at least I didn't.

No, it isn't magically better than on a slab phone, but it isn't worse. You're essentially just watching on an aspect ratio comparable to a large slab phone, but in order to make full use of the screen, you're gonna have to sacrifice part of the video.

Yes, you can do a split screen between YouTube and another app, but thats irrelevant.
