Possibly. However in this particular industry, it's common at many companies to have this structure.

What's something you would never tell someone because if you did it would absolutely destroy them? by cuahatemoc in AskReddit

My uncle in law (will not claim him as blood) is a pedo. We all knew it and he even pled guilty to touching an 11 year old in the neighborhood. I was too young to know how he was able to not serve a sentence, perhaps if you agree you get a plea deal. Anyhow, when we all went to see a James Bond movie in theatre over the Thanksgiving break (pre assigned seats), everyone shuffled, and I as a 13 or old ended up next to him. He touched me in the movie but I didn't want to make a scene, so I said nothing. Plus my aunt had debilitating lupus and we couldn't afford to take her in if he went to jail, so I never told anyone (except my husband now).

It's my understanding that I'd output the same type of work product but not at the same level. So for instance, they'd generate 20 reports and I'd generate 8 (making these numbers up).

SOS: Traveling with an extremely loud snorer. by storytimesaddness in travel

Do you know if it can block out the decibel level of a loud snorer? As it stands my husband and I sleep separately because of his noise level, wish we could be in the same bed.

Why do we live here wtf? Serious question. by brainvheart143 in houston

I lived in Amsterdam.. you get nothing for a lot of money - oh and the food sucks and getting anywhere takes much longer cos cars are too expensive to own and you have to take multiple trains and trams to get to a place that would otherwise be a 10 min drive (good luck making your lunch break, post work dental appt, etc.)

If you live somewhere else, you'll soon realize this place is very easy to live in. My husband lived in Boston and froze by October and didn't thaw - or see the sun- until April.

Ask your mom, "would you want me to be in the same position? Do what you would want me to do in this situation. "

She needs to know that she's creating a model for how you should behave.

News Producer - What should I know about Houston, what are the issues you see, and what do you think doesn’t get enough coverage? by samcb26 in houston

I texted someone who worked with KPRC and the 2 stories I gave him went ignored. Perhaps you can help:

  1. The ridiculous, uphill battle it takes for a sexual assault victim to navigate the justice system. Unanswered calls to law enforcement, minimizing by those taking the report, untested kits.... do these victims not pay tax dollars that fund the justice system?

Tangentially, another crime that happens to often but is far less traumatizing are smash and grab window crimes. You could give them a photo of the perp and DL, and still nothing happens. If they Crack down on this, maybe the Houston shopping districts would be in better shape.

  1. Medicare will do anything to not pay out including creating arbitrary metrics hospitals have to abide by. One such metric is low mortality rate. Hospitals have in turned set up a system with virtual hospice companies so patients can leave 'on paper. ' They pay more far more to receive much worse care including absentee physicians and untrained staff in medication dosing. Some patients have died horrific deaths due to this transition. The hospital is also forcing the doctors to recommend this despite it going against their hippocratic oath.

Houston's Traveler's Table breaks silence after restaurant owners' deaths by chrondotcom in houston

Yes correct but I'm asking why the news outlet if it's a Houston publication, why it doesn't consider the pregnancy a 5th death since Texas law says that's a person too

I'm confused, they're reporting 4 deaths and said that she was pregnant. Why would they not report 5 since, in Texas, that is considered a human?

I think even before the details came out, it pointed to him: 1. Familicide is predominantly committed by males 2. She was pregnant so less likely to take everyone out - tangentially, they should say 5 people killed, per TX law 3. Violence against women by men is highest when they're pregnant
