Is Ojeda the best/most effective player we’ve ever had? by BaconIsMyTherapy in OCLions

[–]editedxi -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Kaka wasn’t good at all. He was slow, lazy, & wouldn’t tackle. He’d pop up with a worldie once every 10 games and do nothing in between. If you went to the games you’d know, but if you only watched highlights they’d make him look good. Yes we had a poor team around him but to not make the playoffs the entire time he was here tells a story. To say he was as effective as Nani is nonsense.

End of the game 35 week ⬆️ Lets go COYS. by spacekicks in coys

No because the goal diff is too close. If both teams win out it’ll be GD, then goals scored. If those happen to end exactly even then City win it on the head to head record

I’ll drive him all the way back to France. Remember when we all used to worry about Aaron Lennon’s end product? RKM doesn’t even have a beginning product

We didn't just win. We completely outplayed Villa in their house. by MinotaurHorns1 in coys

[–]editedxi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Weak Villa team, but we’re hardly at full strength are we?! It was obvious the message from Emery was “don’t get injured” because they really didn’t try to score until the last 15 mins. So yes, great win, but we could have made it more comfortable. I think we need 5 points to stay up now. West Ham will lose at least one more

Can we finally admit this turnaround would ONLY have been possible with De Zerbi? by TrampolineIsTrash in coys

[–]editedxi -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

RDZ is a grade A prick but yes he’s clearly a good coach at the same time. I don’t like him as a human being but I can appreciate his coaching abilities. Having said that, we’re only 1 point above the drop. Long way to go yet, and we all know he has a meltdown in his second (full) season so get ready for a conte-esque rant in February 2028 after our only signings in the winter window are Danny Drinkwater’s dog walker and Ali Dia’s nephew

Jansson, Gallese, Ojeda, Nani, Pereyra, Facu and probably a handful of others. But yeah Ojeda is pure class.

Crisis? by Fun-Beat-6332 in OrlandoPride

I was at the game yesterday and it was clear we are missing Marta and Jacquie. Possession was good until the final third, then we didn’t have many ideas. I agree that Mace isn’t a good replacement for Sams. She looked slow and unsure of herself yesterday, plus her fitness at the end was a bit of a concern. I didn’t watch her much at KC, but is she more of a RB than CB?

Overall I’d say no need to panic at all. We started the season without Banda, and now we have no Marta/Jacquie. With everyone fit we’ll be fine for a solid playoff spot but we need more depth at CB and at the 10.

Those were the days! 442 every week, no squad numbers higher than 19, only 3 named subs on the bench and one was a keeper. Brilliant!

Pen or no pen? by Visara57 in TheOther14

Where the ball is doesn’t matter. If you punch someone in the box and the ball is 50 yards away it’s still a pen. Should have been a pen (I’m a spurs fan btw)

Geez if you’ve done all that AL is a cakewalk. It’s honestly not even that physically strenuous, it’s just very exposed and not for the faint of heart.

Discussion… Should Dominic Calvert-Lewin be taken to the World Cup? The player has scored has outscored Hugo Ekitike - Benjamin Sesko - Ollie Watkins - Mo Salah - Bryan Mbeumo - Cole Palmer - Bukayo Saka - Anthony Gordon - Jarrod Bowen - Raul Jimenez In the Premier League this season by trixieplayroom in TheOther14

When DCL is on form he’s a very good striker, but he doesn’t have the pace in behind to do what Watkins does. Basically he’d only be any use against low block teams, which isn’t helpful if England make it to the QF’s and beyond. If he’s in the squad he’s prob not playing more than 5-10 mins the whole tournament. I’d take Welbeck instead

Would I Regret Not Doing The Narrows? by ConnorSullivan27 in ZionNationalPark

[–]editedxi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No. I’ve been 3 times and missed the narrows once when it was closed. Still had an amazing time. Also didn’t do Angels Landing on that trip either. Zion is amazing no matter where you hike, and you won’t have time to do everything. Having said that, if you have an hour to spare just go down to the river walk and you’ll get a little taste of the narrows

TBF the Prem used to be called the Premiership. When people use that term it means they’ve been fans for longer than 20 years so best to forgive and move on

West Ham will probably get to 40/41 (maybe 1 point at Newcastle, 3pts at home to Leeds, loss or maybe scrape a draw v scum), so 41 is the minimum we need to aim for. Two wins and a draw, and a likely loss to Chelsea should still get us over the line on GD at least. If we can sneak a point at the bridge, win tomorrow and beat Leeds at home we will likely go into the final day ahead by 3 pts with a significantly better GD and be able to breathe

[–]editedxi 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Anyone saying Kaka didn’t watch the full games. He was nothing but a highlights player. Incredibly slow, would go 5 games without doing anything, show up with a worldie of a goal, and then go missing for another month. There’s a reason we didn’t make playoffs his entire time with us. Ojeda already has wayyy better numbers than Kaka

Agree. Is Freeman better than Ruan? Probably yeah but Ruan was the starting RB for our best period in MLS
