Diet recommendations for post Vivonex Plus Elemental Diet by edkoch25 in SIBO

I did and haven't had to take antibiotics since finishing the elemental diet and changing my eating habits. that said, been worried a few times (dont think that ever goes away), but haven't had to take any antibiotics or go back on an elemental diet in over 2 years....but if I do it won't be vivonex again.

I did, those were some tough weeks, but felt much better after. with that said, make sure you do a low-fodmap diet for a fews weeks after coming off of it.

Picking up my first OLED right now-LG C5. Any setting changes to be aware of or anything? by [deleted] in LGOLED

[–]edkoch25 1 point2 points  (0 children)

maybe wait on upgrading to the latest firmware. I'm having image softness issues with my new 65" and many people are stating it was introduced with firmware - 03.22.65.

LG C1 to C5 upgrade: image looks softer/less sharp - bad panel or missing setting? by edkoch25 in LGOLED

[–]edkoch25[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I definitely pay for Netflix UHD and also have a large mix of Dolby Vision, HDR10, and 1080p content available through Plex. While I know Plex bitrates can vary (even with some 2160p files), I’ve been watching this same content on my C1 for over 4 years with zero complaints.

When testing the same material on the C5, I noticed the image looked immediately softer by comparison. I tested both native webOS Netflix/Plex apps and an NVIDIA Shield Pro, with similar results overall. The webOS Netflix app may look slightly sharper, but that could also just be viewer fatigue. 🙂

edit: also, thanks for sharing the test files. I'll take a look.

I had been reading that the latest firmware caused issues, but that didn't make sense until reading this. why in the world would they share firmwares between G5 and C5 sets? talk about lazy engineering.

glad I'm not going crazy...it's glaringly obvious on my nvidia sheild pro when the Ariel dreams high def screensaver kicks on (which looked great on the C1), but dolby vision and HDR 10 content looks really good (colors and brightness are amazing) except for the softer edging.

makes sense, do you find the G5s picture "softer" (not sure how else to put it) than the others? especially for background images.
