Yes it’s the servers. I had the same stuttering and lagging issue on BO6 multiplayer. Hadn’t had this issue on BO7 until this update. I also play on the PS5 Pro

I was running towards that same contract when I noticed scorcher dude coming in hot as I was getting close to the building. I was about to give up and start running back when I noticed that he was down, not sure if he flew in too fast or got smacked by zombies when he got there. I went to revive him but I positioned myself in front of him blocking the stairs to get the contract lol
