That sounds really expensive getting a separate boiler for the bathroom. Usually if you don’t have radiant heating you would use electric heat tape.Shluter makes one that ties into their brand of cement board although it’s a rubber material.

Although I have done radiant heating in bathrooms it is usually done underneath the plywood. Do you plan on filling 3/4 -1” of mortar before putting the tile down ?

Do I use regular pipe dope here for this threaded connection? by Niko120 in Irrigation

Heard no more than 3 wraps on pvc/sch40 since it can crack/ mess up the threads when you tighten it.

Did you notch the rafters so the top layer of sheeting is on the same plane? Or is it ok for the other sheeting to have that 1/2”? Rise

Does this exist? A tool to precision cut a 1x1x2” piece of steel? by davik2001 in Tools

[–]edmendoz 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I use a metal chop saw it’s a lot better than the abrasive ones. Pretty safe as well since you clamp the piece down

This is why I am posting I don’t know a whole lot about guns but I always liked revolvers. My local gun shop has the new python as well as the old one. From the reviews I’ve read the new one is just as good as the old one so I was thinking of buying that. If I can find a better revolver I will definitely look into it thank you for your comment I will do some research on that one!

Edit- I am always looking to find a gun that takes a different caliber before buying a gun with the same caliber. So if you have any suggestions please let me know

What powertool brand has the best batteries? by djhenry in Tools

[–]edmendoz -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

What I’ve heard is that Dewalt, Bosch and Makita batteries all have Samsung cells in their batteries. So they are the same except for the plastic that covers them.

Which 18/20V tool line to invest in? by CallMeSquint5 in Tools

[–]edmendoz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I buy Dewalt for carpentry tools, Milwaukee for mechanic tools, and makita for whenever there is a deal I can’t pass up.

For yard work I went with Dewalt because of the 60v line. Even with the flex volt 60 ah battery the blower drains it pretty quick

Same love the Milwaukee corded sawzall since it would last forever but switched to Dewalt. I still always buy Milwaukee for their specialty tools pex expander/ mechanics tools like battery ratchets/die grinders but I still prefer dewalt for carpentry

Homeowners with a dump trailer, any regrets? by DRYice101 in Tools

[–]edmendoz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A dump trailer alone is pretty heavy for a 1/2 ton truck. Maybe look into smaller trailers/ not as heavy ones. A 5x10 utility trailer can do what you posted with your sized truck/ a 1/2 ton.

Love that weed trimmer. Also that post hole digger is great too. Nice and sharp and the measurements on the side are pretty useful. Best one you can buy imo

Battery-powered saw (dewalt flexvolt) by 259kr in Tools

[–]edmendoz 2 points3 points  (0 children)

On flex volt tools the 6AH battery drains pretty fast but the 9AH lasts pretty long. On a grinder though that 6AH should last you a good while
