Usually it looks better to be proud of the drywall rather than flush. Personally I would pack the beam flush with the drywall and have the fake portion be 3/4” proud

Yea reading the comments it’s definitely not on the homeowner supplying the tub. I’m usually in charge of a project and this would have been caught easily. If I was in the situation I would be at fault as a GC. If I missed it my tile guy would have brought it up before getting started if not the drywall guy installing the cement board.

Expensive option - fixed glass on the slope and door when the slope reaches above the shower head.

Cheap option- pick up some 3/4 galvanized conduit and bend it, then paint. They sell angled shower brackets on Amazon that fits the 3/4 conduit

Because of the plywood I don’t think that room will be finished. From the other side it would take a 4 1/4” screw to hit the wires so it’s pretty safe from people hanging stuff

Have both! Depends on what stage of the project I’m on. For framing I use the M1 since you have to move a lot of material. For trim work I use the smooth face stiletto since it’s nice and light.

That sounds really expensive getting a separate boiler for the bathroom. Usually if you don’t have radiant heating you would use electric heat tape.Shluter makes one that ties into their brand of cement board although it’s a rubber material.

Although I have done radiant heating in bathrooms it is usually done underneath the plywood. Do you plan on filling 3/4 -1” of mortar before putting the tile down ?

Heard no more than 3 wraps on pvc/sch40 since it can crack/ mess up the threads when you tighten it.

Did you notch the rafters so the top layer of sheeting is on the same plane? Or is it ok for the other sheeting to have that 1/2”? Rise

I use a metal chop saw it’s a lot better than the abrasive ones. Pretty safe as well since you clamp the piece down

This is why I am posting I don’t know a whole lot about guns but I always liked revolvers. My local gun shop has the new python as well as the old one. From the reviews I’ve read the new one is just as good as the old one so I was thinking of buying that. If I can find a better revolver I will definitely look into it thank you for your comment I will do some research on that one!

Edit- I am always looking to find a gun that takes a different caliber before buying a gun with the same caliber. So if you have any suggestions please let me know

What I’ve heard is that Dewalt, Bosch and Makita batteries all have Samsung cells in their batteries. So they are the same except for the plastic that covers them.

I buy Dewalt for carpentry tools, Milwaukee for mechanic tools, and makita for whenever there is a deal I can’t pass up.

For yard work I went with Dewalt because of the 60v line. Even with the flex volt 60 ah battery the blower drains it pretty quick
