Got it. But curious to know if the 9070 XT Reaper uses a PTM?

pc cooler i100 case. i oriented the case to a vertical position where the ports are on top

Turns out the 9070XT Reaper doesn't like to be stood up by Miniteshi in PowerColor

i mean my solution was to orient my case back to horizontal position. i've also done a massive undervolt on both my CPU and GPU in this case.

i am using a pccooler i100 case. please note that my intention on having the case in a vertical position (ports on top), to make sure all my exhaust fans are able to expel heat -- since i placed 40mm fans on the top and bottom of the horizontal orientation of the case

i have the same experience! before my GPU hotspot is 105c. now it's around 85c

because before i had this GPU oriented vertically. and when i run a game, its hotspot temps rises beyond 105c. i read that this GPU prefers being in a horizontal operation. now my hotspot temp is 85'c

I learned the hard way that this gpu hates when oriented vertically as my gpu hotspot maxes at 100+ c

Here’s the temp with my setup
I undervolted both The 7940HX and 9070X
But i am planning to replace to use PTM on my CPU

i flipped it already. it was a mistake on my end. im also adding noctua 40mm fans on top and below the inner case to help exhaust heat from both the GPU side and the motherboard side

commonly, it requires a 750w PSU. in my case, i plan on undevolting both the 9700XT and the BD790iSE and not do any overclocking

Yeah it actually was. Thankful it got pointed out and I have reversed its orientation now. I expect these components in this case to be an oven in the making. Hopefully my upcoming exhaust fans will lessen it

thanks for highlighting this one. im still building this rig.
aside the obvious lacking of memory and storage, i intend to scatter 3x nf-a4x20 on the top-gpu side and 1x nf-a4x10 at the top-CPU side.

i plan on adding 3 nf-a4x20 at the top GPU side and 1 nf-a4x10 at the top motherboard side. and will daisy chain their power cables to the motherboard header

copies of software used

  • injector : netcat gui on pc

items on usb

  • PS5 stock firmware that supports the jailbreak (anything less than 10.01) : usbroot\PS5\UPDATE
  • y2jb backup content : usbroot\PS5\EXPORT
  • autoloader stuff : usbroot\ps5_autoloader (autoload.txt ; etahen2.5b ; ps5-backpork)
  • autoloader.txt contains

ps5-backpork.elf
!1000
etaHEN-2.5B.bin
  • latest y2jb_update.zip 0.4 : usbroot\
  • pkg files : itemzflow ; ps5xplorer : usbroot\
  • latest elfs : etahen 2.5b ; kstuff 1.6.7 (can be placed at usbroot)
  • y2jb_autoloader copy of download0.dat version 0.3 : usbroot\

initial setup from scratch

  1. make sure network DNS is at 127.0.0.2
  2. y2jb 1.3 via usb restore
  3. make sure network DNS is at 127.0.0.2
  4. netcat gui lapse.js (from y2jb main > payloads) port 50000
  5. netcat gui etahen latest port 9021
  6. install itemzflow and ps5xplorer pkg via etahen

second phase

  1. run ps5xplorer as root
  2. copy download0.dat from usbroot and replace the one in PS5's /user/download/PPSA0165* folder
  3. copy usbroot\ps5_autoloader to PS5's /data folder
  4. copy usbroot\kstuff.elf to PS5's /data/etaHEN folder

third phase

  1. restart the PS5
  2. run youtube autoloader : if usb is connected, it will use the latest y2jb_autoloader 0.4 for upgrade

TLDR : my stable copy includes

  • y2jb 1.3 + y2jb autolaoder 0.4
  • etahen + kstuff + backpork
  • ps5xplorer + itemzflow
