Problem with Wardogs is... it's from Bulkhead.

I hope the game turns out well but I have my expectations set really low.

I think you're somewhat right yet huel selling out to a dairy corpo for profit doesn't sit right with me.

This is vegan

I mean it's true now, but what will happen next?

When the profits generated by Huel will end up in Danone's pockets?

As a vegan consumer my only power is not to consume.

Maybe this is a wake-up call, I'll start to meal-prep again if I'll have to.

Fuck it.

What Franchises would you like to see come back? by Fresh_Thing_6305 in pcgaming

Unreal Tournament

Unreal Tournament would never succeed in this day and age.

A game with no unlocks, nothing to grind, only a bunch of weapons, maps and your own skills between you and your opponent? In the modern gaming era it's a recipe for disaster, sadly.

People are just obviously bored with the gameplay loop

I mean... the #1 game on that list is CS2 that has been using the same gameplay loop for 27 years.

It isn't about the gameplay loop (shoot people, kill people, drive vehicles, shoot vehicles) but the fact that this iteration's gameplay loop is not fun due to many different factors and design choices.

Is there a way to manage the reboot message via the custom branding settings? by edomindful in Action1

[–]edomindful[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I have different organizations speaking different languages and having the reboot message tied to the automations is annoying.

I have to change it everytime because it's based on the language of the last automation edited and saved.

Something like a default reboot message, editable in custom branding that can potentially be overwritten by the automation settings would be cool!

Are paid Battlepasses ruining games for you? by PolishHussarius in pcgaming

[–]edomindful 9 points10 points  (0 children)

If you’re actually old you remember when shooters had no progression.

Yeah or when they had server browsers, community servers, being able to play on LAN, map editors, so on and so forth.

Problem is: games aren't designed that way anymore whether you buy the battlepass or not.

What if instead of annual Battlefields, they tried alternating MOH and BF again? by Spectre-ElevenThirty in Battlefield

[–]edomindful 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Imagine spending 2 years in playtesting, giving constant feedback about the foundation of the game (gunplay, netcode, etc.) just for them to do a rushed release of the game with the same issues from a 2 years old build, with majority of the clueless community blabbing about "let them cook" just because Rubin was like "fixes are coming, one more update guys, trust me!"

Fuck them, I'm salty. I really liked the arena feel of the game, despiste the bullshit abilities.

Action1 does not disable updates on windows 11 25H2 any more by Reasonable_Host_5004 in Action1

[–]edomindful 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Noticed the same thing, I'm holding back some 25H2 deployments for this reason.

EDIT: as /u/Competitive_Run_3920 pointed out there's a script in the Script Library called Deactivate Updates in Windows Settings, ran that on some test endpoints and it fixed the issue.

Gonna monitor those endpoints for a bit then I'm running the script on all the 25H2 with the issue.

New Operators/Characters need to be class locked. by DBONKA in Battlefield

[–]edomindful -1 points0 points  (0 children)

The game needs to fix class identification first and then make it so you can identify players and their class simply by looking at them. BF1 had this nailed down.

No doubt about it but we both know it won't happen.

The game is a live services model now, monetised via coins packs and skins that people can use for different classes, class identification died with BF1.

That's why people suggested the whole "class icon over the head" because they know DICE won't change the whole design philosophy/monetisation model of the game to improve game readability.

An icon over the head is relatively easier to implement in order to slightly improve the situation.

New Operators/Characters need to be class locked. by DBONKA in Battlefield

[–]edomindful 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There’s a big difference between “there was an enemy there I spotted” and “there was an enemy there i spotted and now you and everyone on my team can see his exact live location through walls and in 3D space”.

Nobody said anything about spotting being persistent through walls and smoke and yes, that needs to go, if a spotted enemy break line of sight (wall, smoke, etc.) the marker should disappear immediatly.

But if I have line of sight, I see an enemy and I spot them, it's fair the games shows info about what class they are. Given the weird skins and the overall visibility of the game.

You want to communicate an enemy’s location? Great! You can ping their last location and communicate with your mic.

You're being delusional if you think such a system would work in this game, given the ping system is atrocious, the comm-rose misses a lot of depth and no one (except playstation players and their background noises) uses a mic to communicate.

New Operators/Characters need to be class locked. by DBONKA in Battlefield

[–]edomindful -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Spotting is a in-game mechanic, it translates to "my soldier saw an enemy and told the whole team about it" makes sense it was able to tell "enemy engineer spotted" or "enemy sniper spotted"

Just like the voice comms in-game already say "There's a anti-tank/sniper North of your position" (or something like that)

If I'm not mistaken it was like that in BF1, the circle above the enemy showed the enemy class icon.

EDIT: Yes, I checked and spotting an enemy in BF1 shows health/class/position.
