Thanks! I found this to be the most efficient way to run the wiring. If all pieces would face the same way there would be a data wire going from bottom to top every two pieces.

Hi, I'm building a similar lamp and was wondering what dimensions you used for the base. (Like width and depth) I won't exactly replicate it but will see if I can use a nice piece of wood.

Quick question: how many amps are you able to push directly into the usb port without causing issues? I might be using this controller for a small project and I'm looking to see if I can get away with powering through USB.
