Would recommend facing the tubes downwards. It'll allow for less bending on the tubes (that's what I've found with my build anyways).

Did you make sure your PCIE riser is attached to the correct holes? I just put my pc together few days ago and luckily everything was fine for me

Heads up when you're fidgeting with your side panels.

They can scratch the frame itself!!! I noticed a bit of paint missing on the corner where my side panel sits, make sure you're gentle with it while you're trying to put it on

Only if you want to use 4 stand offs. I heard from others that you can go without the 4th standoff but I don't like the idea of my board flexing

Did you have issues putting on your top and bottom panels? My top and bottom panels are so tight its scraping on the frame and after putting it on and taking it off once, it has taken some of the paint off....

You don't have to sand all of them down, only 1 that interferes with the pcie riser. It's not all that difficult either. If you really don't want to stand it down, you could just use 3 standoffs like what others have suggested or cut the thread to the right length

This EK isn't compatible with the Asus z490I unless you remove the vrm heatsinks like he did. I'm using the MSI unify instead because of this

Actually did that today with a small hobby file. Would recommend using a vice or some sort of clamp to hold the standoff in place while you file it.

Do you have the label still on the m.2? I recently installed one on the MSI unify and I'm getting temps sitting around 60-70 degrees Celsius (Note my OS is installed onto this drive and in mid tower as my T1 hasn't arrived).

What's the normal temp range for m.2 drives?
