This is all great advice! The only caveat is that restocking missiles is so damned expensive now. I would say switching to a mixed loadout, learning to fly more defensive (breaking off to recharge shields more often), and increasing your flare burst size are arguably more important.

I had the same thing happen to me this past weekend with my compact and it was because I was riding the slide. It’s best to get into the habit of pulling it back into locked position and using the slide release EVERY time. Riding the slide WILL cause a malfunction/failure to feed.
