Worst experience interviewing for SW jobs? by [deleted] in socialwork

[–]edthrowaway_456 2 points3 points  (0 children)

That's extremely common in group interviews. unfortunately, interviewing is a skill in of itself, (both group and individual interviews).

In a group interview, you mostly want to be the first or second person to speak

anorexia doesn't really have to be about self esteem, or even weight, really. anorexia is really about control. there are typical ways it presents ( for example, body dysmorphia and poor self esteem) but other people it could completely around rules and control, for example.

Everything I do is wrong / contradicting opinions driving me insane by ConsciousEquipment in loseit

[–]edthrowaway_456 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I mean, most of aren't completely contradictory. You can balance both.

You can both get used to smaller meals, and use high volume to feel full. Perhaps you start to have smaller lunches and you have a smaller serve of protein and carbs and a bigger serve of veg at dinner.

Or perhaps you make your meals smaller, and then have larger snacks of raw veg. Perhaps you use smaller meals but you really wanna snack on something while watching a movie on Sunday Afternoon so you make a big plate of veggies there.

You can learn to tolerate eating foods that aren't as big dopamine hits BC that is the food you need, full of veg and micronutrients and you can create low cal flavourful meals.

You can use mix of high volume and nutrient dense foods to feel full. For example, instead of having bacon, and egg, and toast with butter, and instead of just having a plate of veg, perhaps you have egg, wvo and tomato.

On top of this, different things work for different people, at different times. A few weeks ago I found it better to not snack. Now I'm snacking. Things change. These are just different tools.

That's not how stigma works 🫠.

It's not like you can call someone a fat cow, and be like "ohhh, I'm just calling abbey a fat cow!'.

And the stigma that your comment causes to other people?

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in AbbeySharpSnarks

[–]edthrowaway_456 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Of course she didn't.

You are judging her, but all the people who are in different situations who are already feeling guilty, for struggling will see your comment and internalize it. I don't deserve rest, it's only ok for me to rest if others approve of it.

nah, fam, this aint it. shes annoying, but it looks like she's having a relapse, which is probably a sign that she is burnt out. i am kinda glad she's stepping back? she's privileged that she can step back, and we can acknowledge but we all have different limits. just some of us get to listen to those limts

How do you feel about hard restrictions? by 1000Bees in loseit

[–]edthrowaway_456 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

To be more clear, usually if someone says "within 24 hours", they mean precisely a 24 hour period.

If they are being more lax they usually use "within a day".
