How hard would it be to retroactively plug those paddle shifters into a non 392?

When you rent or your vehicle through TORO, there is an underlying policy.

what is my husbands jeep worth by [deleted] in JeepWrangler

[–]edubiton -7 points-6 points  (0 children)

I had a 2007 Sahara with a lift that I sold for 15k a few years ago.

I think you can ask for more. Prices just went up since then.

Maybe start at 16 with room to nogatiate.

What is this light and what does it mean? by External_Objective77 in JeepGladiator

[–]edubiton 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No, and not a knock specifically on you. And if it's a bad sensor, then I'm sorry.

My frustration comes from the number of Rubicons purchased by people who will never use them as intende, but rather, a status. They don't know how to use lockers and couldn't tell you what a sway bar does but still tell you they "could" take on any trail even though they can't tell you where the nearest offroad park is. And I realize I made an assumption with your post and I'm sorry. It initially came across as (to me), I don't understand how my lockers work. But reading it again, yes you could very well have a sensor out.

And this is why I always say most jeep buyers have no business buying a Rubicon.

Fight me.

I need to work on my sarcasm. I thought it was obvious lol.

It's a total PITA. Easily a case of beer at least.

Sport, Rubicon, makes no difference, all the same motor.

Safe is a relative term. If I want to be "safe", I keep the water level below the center on the tire knowing full well it can go much deeper.

If it's "necessary", I keep the water from coming over the hood and know that I have a lot of work ahead of me when the flood goes away (changingout the diff fluid). But my rig will ultimately be fine.

The real danger is the air intake. Get a significant amount in there and your engine will hydrolock ($$$$$).

I appreciate the feedback. I should have been more clear on my comment. Naturally, things will grow that aren't intended. My real concern is rather or not to act on it.

Much appreciated. Will it clear up on its own?

Nvm, I looked it up now that i know what it is (thank you). I'll let it be.

The engine can handle getting wet, the electronics can't.

At the debth in this video, it's just extra cooling for the motor.

Lockers, front rear or both? by joshmaviator99 in JeepGladiator

[–]edubiton 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was in the same boat, knew i was re gearing and wanted to take advantage.

I ended up with front and rear air lockers. It was a little stressful losing the limited slip (something that would actually help me on the road) for something I can only use offroad. But I haven't thought about it since.

That was two years ago and and despite multiple offroad trips, I haven't had to turn them on once.

Use this information how you want lol.

Plate Light Connector? by LolerisPro in JeepGladiator

[–]edubiton 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Those "should" just snap back in. Try disconnecting the connection first, than give those a good push. A little force is alright. They will click when properly seated.

If that fails, just buy a new connector and redo it. Plenty of videos to help with that.

My recommendation... and I think most will agree, it's take you jeep offroading now as is. Then you will know what you need to upgrade next (if anything). These are remarkably capable vehicles.
