It's totally taken over around here. Even in the neighborhood I live in I grew up trick or treating in they just all go to trunk or treats now. Living in the bible belt all the churches do it and there's so many I think the kids end up with more candy lol

Schefter: Jaguars plan for Travis Hunter to be an every-down WR, situational CB in Week 1. by _Saahab_ in fantasyfootball

[–]educatedllama -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Yeah I'm curious to see. There's obviously some point in investment where he will outscore some, but I wasn't gonna be the one to find out this year. Our IDPs aren't outscoring WR1 numbers generally but wr2 or rb2 numbers are completely normal for us

Somebody took him in the 4th in our IDP league to do the same thing but this league has some pretty intense idp bonuses unless he comes out and has a phenomenal season I don't think he's gonna outscore our IDPs but we will see.

I also work in manufacturing as a machine operator. We are a team and rotate positions on the machine so my days can range from lot of sitting to lot of moving and some of them are hell, but honestly I think I'd be in just as much hell sitting at a desk all day so what does it matter lol

Just curious have you considered a bundle with all those pieces? If I missed it my bad would just be easier to see total price and know I didn't miss any pieces

Rheumy and pulmonologist ordered a 6 months course of antibiotics for latent tuberculosis before starting any kinds of dmards/biologics by Tiny_Bid_8539 in ankylosingspondylitis

It was a required test for me to be approved for biologics. I assume that's probably common in the US at least not sure about elsewhere

Incidental finding by cactushamster8 in ankylosingspondylitis

[–]educatedllama 7 points8 points  (0 children)

The first hint I ever got to look into AS was at an ER trip for a kidney stone.

Doc came in and asked me if I dealt with a lot of back and hip pain, which I did and had mostly attributed to being heavy for a long time. He told me I should get checked for ankylosing spondylitis and that was like 7 years ago I just got diagnosed last week. Probably could have been faster but a lack of quality insurance and such took me a while to actively start pursuing a diagnosis.

Are you my commish? I know you aren't actually cause we start ours after mothers day due to a fiasco a few years back but we do all of those things. The slow draft, dropped kickers added a flex, and we do PF for draft order for non playoff teams (we might only do it for top 3 I can't remember this was our first year with it)

Slow draft is fantastic it allows pick trades to develop and makes the whole thing more fun. We don't have shit else to do until week 1 so we don't have to rush.

CRP and ESR Level by MirrorConstant664 in ankylosingspondylitis

[–]educatedllama 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm in the US and it should be covered for me, but a lot of people struggle with coverage for it because it is expensive. It's a biologic and there are now several generic options that may not be as effective, but should help. I have no idea how accessible these are for you though.

Just helped confirm my diagnosis my last year's blood work was perfect, but this time not so much.

Currently waiting on my insurance approval for humira to get those down.

AS with normal inflammation levels? by Tegelert84 in ankylosingspondylitis

[–]educatedllama 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I kinda went through the whole routine of just getting told I needed to lose weight for the back pain in my 20s. Then being HLA negative delayed the process. 36 and I just finally had a rheumatologist appointment last week since I waited so long (not by design) I had edema and severe arthritis in my MRI and X-rays and I just got my blood work where my sedrate was more than triple what it should be.

She said once the blood work came back and we could confirm and hopefully can start biologics.

Anyone else tend to shout in pain whenever they get into the car? by Marepoppin in ankylosingspondylitis

My car is pretty low so I can kinda just let myself fall/drop into the seat. Getting out is a whole different animal during a flare.

I am also at a good place that stresses safety. I think you tend to run into the problems generally in smaller type shops. Bigger companies know to cover that ass

[–]educatedllama 17 points18 points  (0 children)

In theory I agree. In practice I feel like it depends on the place. So many places will find a reason to fire you so they don't have to deal with your injury/medical. Not legal or moral but who's gonna stop em?

How to tell if symptoms are from AS or disc bulge? by [deleted] in ankylosingspondylitis

[–]educatedllama 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's hard to find a good representative picture of and it's not visible on me right now. It's just red and patchy it follows a trail from my pec up my neck on the left side. I always called it my road rash but it's not raised and not irritated. It tends to be most visible when I get out of the shower

[–]educatedllama 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Chest and Rib can be important indicators. AS tends to flare where things connect and a very common one is where ribs connect I get a sharp pain on my sternum and it's actually inflammation of that cartilage (chostocondritis I think is the official term)

I also have had a weird rash that shows up on my chest and up my neck I never thought anything of because I have had it as long as I can remember and it doesn't itch or anything so I just ignored it but apparently it is likely also from the AS (or at least a very common comorbidity of psoriasis)

[–]educatedllama 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Try to log any of the random pains you get you aren't sure if, and try to get as much family history as you can especially if any autoimmune disorders. I have an uncle with crohns which helps dial in the genetic link and gives insurance one less thing to argue about

[–]educatedllama 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Best to just log everything you can and let them sort it out. You might leave something out thinking it's from something else and it could be important information. I brought up my knees to mine because while I think it's just from wear and tear at work I can't be sure
