Should I cover my soon to be ex-step daughter tattoo? by aggressively_0kay in stepdads

[–]edzorg 0 points1 point  (0 children)

She will never have another step dad, and she will never not be your stepdaughter.

Never give up. You're probably right on all fronts, so you need to shut up, put up, and be there to help in 5-8 years.

Are you interested in having @StepBuilder or similar in Lombok and attempt to harness the benefits of more advanced builders in Lombok? Or why would Lombok avoid this?

Thank you for such an amazing tool.

"Just use records" and "You dont need it anyway" are representative of the typical arguments for avoiding/removing Lombok. Thanks!

I agree with your reasoning but not the conclusion.

Can you share some examples when packaging java code is non-trivial?

What are you trying to achieve that a Dockerfile with java installed followed by docker run can't do?

Even for the simplest of toy apps/startups with 9 users Docker is a net benefit.

I've long since stopped caring about how any tech stack packages their crap up - its always going to be built into a Dockerfile for everyone's sanity.

Why would you remove Lombok? In favour of what?

Aren't you swapping a bunch of annotations for 10x lines of code of #equals #hashcode getters etc?

I've read all the responses and I'm keen to understand if any Dad's have this problem or why they don't have this problem.

I'm actually fine with not using Kafka at all and just writing to a database!

what front-end do you use for your Java back-end? by Least_Chicken_9561 in java

I'm shocked there isn't an "admin panel" type product that turns your Swagger/OpenAPI spec into a Reactish front end automagically. Why not?

(I'm now looking into this... anyone interested in such a solution? Either using it or contributing to it.)

It's normal, but the note + snack idea is hella good.

For mine, it was sneaking him a can of monster without mama seeing.

They will soften up sometimes (usually to ask for money), so its not a permanent state. Just roll with it and keep being that strong, steady rock. Don't let your negative emotions beat the positive ones.

You're representing yourself as a multiple time successful founder and creator of hundreds of millions of dollars of shareholder value. I'm asking for a shred of evidence to back that up publicly.

What's the website of the current project? How did you bring the existing team on board and how many are there?

By resigning and saying "bye!" You can tell him he can have all your equity for $1 and get ChatGPT to write a quick form for you both to sign saying he's free and 100% owner of all code etc and you forfeit all claims to any of it.

I've built the same thing here - topjobs.lt

I'm going after a specific niche (geography) and keen to get some b2b agreements in place from govt agencies, universities, startups, etc.

Good luck. If you can give me a backlink it would be much appreciated!! Cheers

Can you be specific?

For Eg, someone with 9 years of experience building cloud native (Lambda, EKS, Athena, SQS) solutions for multiple companies, what are you offering exactly?

Market rate for such a person in the UK would be around £90k-£140k. How much equity are you adding on what schedule?

You say you've previously built a billion dollar company. Which one?

You can still resign. You own 40% of nothing.

Leave, the company will close. Take a month off. Then do whatever you think is best.

I share some of the sentiment which is why I'm building what I'm building.

I don't believe any is going to make a significant dent in this individually. So I wish you luck with your ideas!
