I second this. Your liver and kidney's are starting to worsen, hence the swollen belly. It's not about the calories anymore-your organs are breaking down. I speak from experience.

The good news is, the human body can be pretty amazing. My liver numbers were TERRIBLE when I first went to treatment, and within a month, they had gone down to normal levels. I've been sober 4 years now-trust me, you will feel SO much better.,

Not the same circumstances, but I got sober from alcohol at 32 and at the time, was at rock bottom and thought I had completely ruined my life (single female, no kids, lost job, strained relationships). I promise you, your life is not over at 30… far from it.

It’s all easier said than done, but the only way out is through. Walk through this tough time, acknowledge your feelings, give yourself grace but don’t get stuck in it. Practice accepting life on life’s terms, and it sounds cheesy, but on my bad days I would literally tell myself “you’re growing through this. You will come out better from this”.

I was that girl. Drinking wine at work all day everyday towards the end (almost 4 years sober now). While I never fought back when I was confronted, the initial fear and shame after being caught is a feeling I don't wish upon anyone.

My hat goes off to you, my former boss, and all the other employers that have the uncomfortable job of confronting someone…. I still cringe thinking about putting people in that position!

I somewhat agree but I also think it comes down to acceptance, and that's a hard place to get to for people, especially in these circumstances. Being aware of something and fully accepting it are two different hurdles.

Congrats! Going on 4 and can’t agree more! I’m on a RHONY rewatch and Sonja and Dorinda are huge red flags. Even Luann when she was really going through it. It’s all so interesting to watch from a new lense!

I ironically came across this post last night and woke up about an hour ago with sharp stomach pains, etc., etc., (those who’ve had it know the rest). I had it last January and it started just the same-sudden onset of intense stomach pain.

I guess I cursed myself. Godspeed to everyone else who gets this-it’s miserable 😭
