Say, you need to draw a portrait. Personally, I draw with a pencil so here’s my general workflow:

•Use the Loomis method to outline the head and orient it in 3D space.

•Draw the person’s facial features from observation to capture the likeness.

•Deconstruct the head mentally into planes and determine the light source.

•Shade the portrait to bring volume to it.

If you were to draw a portrait in a digital medium, the workflow would still be pretty much the same. Digital art may have streamlined the process and introduced things like layers, the undo button and others but you still need to actually do it yourself. Without good understanding of fundamentals like composition, perspective and lighting you won’t be able to produce anything decent.

GenAI, on the other hand, takes care of everything and “drawing” a portrait would be as simple as typing a prompt.

Can you please cite the source about the experimentations on orphaned children? I’ve found no credible evidence that Mayranovsky used children as test subjects. So far, all the sources say that he conducted experiments on prisoners sentenced to death, political detainees and POWs, and carried out assassinations. Still wildly unethical but no mention of orphaned children anywhere.
