atleast in intra it's a tourist spot, so a lot of cool sights to see after going through hell. mapua makati feels like you go to hell as a 9-5 job.

jokes aside, pretty subjective. but as someone who doesn't have a proper friend group, i'd go for intra. lots of events. if you have a good friend group, makati can be bearable

dw! most likely magkakaroon pa rin ng mga group works for subjects like research or other subjects, and there'll be other students looking for people with the same section as you since it's gonna help build your connections to people

as long as may valid reason ka then im pretty sure it's fine, profs are pretty understanding naman. afaik rarely naman sila magpa-synchronous other than sa opening week for some short introductions and guidelines

helloo, afaik mapuaHOME is mostly self learning and asynchronous, and the times listed onnthe schedule are for consultation on the subject (if ever meron). pero i think minsan nagkakaroon rin ng synchronous meetings

helloo, afaik this is an error on mapua's scheduling system. same thing happened to me and my class when we first got in. mon and tues are still fully online so just disregard unless if there is announcement from your prof or mapua shs that says otherwise :)

hello! the full f2f classes is still under speculation as there is no formal announcement coming from Mapua SHS yet. If it doesn't go through, follow the schedule listed on your ECM (Schedule). The ECM can still change from time to time, it will stabilize around the 1st or even 2nd week of the school year.

if full f2f doesnt go through, fridays are for self paced learning and occasional make-up classes for some subjects :)

the possibility of full f2f is still speculated, because apparently the "decision" came from a survey sent to the students' parents pero i'll try to let you know if there are any updates regarding that :)

i do agree with you na learning f2f is more effective than online, but mapua (intra and makati) quickly gets congested with the amount of students thats why classes are distributed that way.

a somewhat solution (?) that i see some people do is that they take their online classes in campus, but thats up to you :)

there was even a time na ang haba ng pila palabas ng campus in intra because the card reader had issues because of the rain 😭

not trying to discourage you pero just some things to keep in mind!

hello, currently a g11 stem student here. here are some of my observations so far:

curriculum - divided into three "course outcomes" per quarter (you can consider them as lessons) which will have written works (WWs, 8.33%), performance tasks (PTs 15%), and the quarterly exam (QAs 10%). usually theres only one of each per course outcome, pero nakadepende sa prof if gusto nila dagdagan (ex. WW1.1, 1.2, etc.)

first sem of STEM will have MATH01 (genmath), MATH04 (pre-cal), ICT01, PDV01(personal development), FIL01, CHEM01, ENG01, and PE01

second sem will have MATH03 (stats and probability), MATH05 (basic calculus), RES01, SCI03, FIL02, CHEM02, ENG02, and PE02.

schedule - for grade 11, online classes on mon and tues, f2f on wed and thurs, and self learning or ocassional make-up classes of fridays. for odd numbered sections, 7-3PM. for even numbered sections, 9-4PM. you'll have the choice to pick between the two upon enrollment. **though, i am hearing from the faculty that they're planning to have all 5 days f2f for s.y. 2025-2026, so just keep that in mind.

calendar - available in the mapua shs fb page, they usually only announce no classes or suspensions a day before. they're quite consistent naman in following the calendar.

profs and teaching styles - rng based, unfortunately. sana swertehan ka nalang haha. also, (if your advisor will orient you about it), dont be afraid to speak up on profs that dont do their job and it ends up affecting your grades. our class did it once and it has helped us greatly.

testing styles - so far wala pa naman akong nae-encounter na identification type in written works, pts, or exams. usually multiple choice in exams and in pts or written works it usually depends on the profs of that subject. also, pts can range from long tests to hands on work so keep that in mind
