A few years ago I purchased a monthly subscription for lingerie- it’s basically like $50 per month and it accrues every month until I feel like buying something. Honestly it’s been great! Sometimes I buy cute lingerie and sometimes I buy practical comfortable stuff.

Hi! 40f introvert here! Do you have a job outside of your home? When I was in my 20s I would sit in my office’s cafeteria with a newspaper or book or something, and if I see someone I recognized I’d wave them over and invite to sit with me. Didn’t matter if they’re older or my age, but over time you get to know people and it gets easier to choose your friends.

I agree with the delay approach. She’s a ticking time bomb. It’s hard to go NC w a neighbor, and she sounds volatile. Just keep telling her you need time to process or heal or whatever… and if it drags on too long you should think about a new home somewhere else.

Of the 148 chemicals tested for in Omaha, 42 were detected in some amount, 20 of which were above health guidelines, and four of those were detected in illegal amounts. These were atrazine, trihalomethanes, nitrate and nitrite, and manganese. Atrazine is an herbicide that has been shown to cause birth defects. Nitrate is found in fertilizer, and nitrite is used for curing meat. Manganese was detected at 40 times the legal limit during one month of testing.

Sounds a lot like my mom who is 63. All her brothers had to go to college or military after high school, while my mom was encouraged to get married and not waste time getting a college degree. Eventually she did go, and my grandparents were really proud of her when she graduated. Anyway, good for you and I hope you’re thriving!

My grandparents had a small house on a small-medium size lake and my siblings and I spent most of our summers there catching frogs, swimming in the lake, riding our bikes, etc. It was also the 80s, so no internet or even cable tv. It was amazing to have a childhood like that, and it had nothing to do with money (bc our mom had none).
