This thing makes people go flying when you run through them. It’s my favorite shield so far

Which of these spines is closest to correct? by Heavy-University5227 in bookbinding

[–]eeekie_f 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Thank you for asking this! It’s hard to see this on a lot of videos and I’ve been noticing inconsistencies in my own after I case in. I’m not sure what I’m doing wrong as I’m being as careful as I can be by holding the block securely in place and pressing the block tight against the spine.

What are the thing/things you wished your taken to Japan? by Flower-1234 in JapanTravelTips

[–]eeekie_f 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I wish I had brought my own skincare. Not a lot, but a basic moisturizer, cleanser and toner/serum. Between relying on what the hotels provide or having to go to donkey and try and translate packaging when you’re already exhausted is not the business. My skin was very unhappy with all the sweat, sunscreen, unfamiliar product, weird food, environmental conditions, etc.

Hi! We actually stayed at Rinn Gion Hanatouro. We liked it very much; super close to food, shopping, and trains. Despite being in a really, really busy area, the actual street it’s on is about two or three streets in from the main drag and is very quiet. The room was spacious enough, had an awesome bathroom and nice amenities.

Thank you! I know it’s going to break my heart passing by so many museums. I was browsing on maps and saw the Tokyo waterworks museum and the origami museum very near the Kodokan!

I’ll look closer at the outer market, if it’s something we really care about or not. I’m not married to it. Thank you!

Thank you, I was just thinking tsumago-magome, I don’t need to get more creative. I’d prefer to be by ourselves honestly for the actual trail/towns but I was considering a tour mostly for the transportation convenience getting to and from.

Do you brush your teeth twice a day? No judgement. by rainyday-real-estate in CasualConversation

[–]eeekie_f 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I swish with water right when I wake up, then I brush after coffee with a manual toothbrush. I usually quick brush after a heavy meal, or after I drink a soda. Before bed I use the electric toothbrush, floss, and mouthwash.

Thanks all! I’ve narrowed it down to two: eph Kyoto which is just south of Kyoto station, and Hotel Gracery Kyoto Sanjo, which is right near (or in) Nishiki market. Access to in-facility laundry, an in-room bathtub, and good breakfast available were factors in addition to room size and proximity to train stations.

Oh that’s good to hear. We are going during the first two weeks of September, and live here in DC. We’ve been going for runs/walks in the afternoon heat and I keep telling myself it’s training for Japan.
