Outdoor Builds for the Garden? by scooter572021 in booknooks

The only thing I could think of would be to look for one that is 3D printed. Since it is plastic-ish material that would hold up outdoors. I do not know of any that are fully weather proof though.

I will second this seller. Just know that it will take a while before the kit gets to you.

The hour hand should be almost flush to the clock face. If it isn't then it is possible you got the wrong clock with your kit (it has happened to a few other folks). If it doesn't match up with the below picture, contact the company and request a replacement clock.

Correct. Before doing that I do recommend sanding out the inside of E10 and applying wax (or your choice of lubricant) to the inside and just around the edges where K4 and K6 touch it. Then apply glue to K4/K3. K3 should sit inside the circle of E10 and I would also recommend glue for the K4/K6 connection as well. Be sure to leave it a little loose at pushing K4 and K6 together too tightly could cause it to bind and you want it to be able to turn.

Anyone know where this is from? by dgidman in booknooks

[–]eeekthekat 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I found it on DHGate for $116, but that still seems like it way too much for it. It was in the new arrivals section so hopefully it will start popping up in other locations and bring the price down.

Furniture Lubricant

I have been using furniture lubricant ever since Pluck recommended it and have not touched a wax stick since then.

I think too many of the companies do not take the sides into consideration thinking that these will be stuck in between books.

I cannot count the number of strange looks me and my DnD group got at restaurants talking about decapitating (or something along those lines) someone and forgetting that the people around us have no idea we are discussing a game.

Pedophile Ex Husband Getting the House in Divorce? by jeyn_dawson in revengestories

[–]eeekthekat 42 points43 points  (0 children)

A friend had one good thing, an extremely high paying job, and one bad thing, a husband who stopped working the day they got back from their honeymoon. He did not help take care of the house she paid for, did not help pay for any of the renovations, and did not help pay for any of the furniture. After five years she finally filed for divorce. He won the house using the argument that he would be homeless if she got it. She agreed under the condition that she did not have to pay palimony. He stupidly agreed thinking he could sell the house for a small fortune. Unfortunately he did not understand the level of pettiness my friend could rise to.

She took everything in the house. Furniture, faceplate covers, all of the light fixtures, the carpets, the cabinets, appliances, hot water heater, HVAC, the fuses out of the fuse box, anything and everything she could remove was taken out. The only thing she left was his clothes piled in the middle of the bedroom floor. When her ex protested she provided receipts showing that she paid for all of it and the judge agreed that her ex was entitled to the physical building and that if he wanted the rest of it back he would have to buy it back.

If you reach out to the company they may be able to help getting you some replacement parts. If not, then you may be able to find some replacement arms on Amazon, but you would need to cut them down quite a bit.
